El Shaarawy is the go - already excellent, young, pace, positioning, an engine, good close finisher, can hit a rocket from 25 yards, can cut in and shoot - he's got it all in my view. Get him and a great CB (assuming the DM thing is actually happening) and i'd be happy (and we can avoid the Suarez circus.

glad we're in for Gustavo, he may well be a brilliant signing. And without him we're an Arteta injury away from disaster
but IMO it shows we're a bit desperate that buying Bayern's 3rd choice DM is being sold as a marquee signing

he is world class...don't rate him as 3rd choice..if so it is at a club who is the best in the world at the moment....

Gustavo is a very good player. I don't understand why he slipped out of the Munich team. He is currently Scolari first choice on the defensive midfielder position.

As a player gourcuff would be somebody that I rate but given that he seems to be a playmaker and we already have cazorla and rosicky to fill that role, why would we take him ? As I said though, I would be happy if we signed him especially if he was on loan with a view to a permanent deal
