As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
And JD has an ally in that Steve bloke. However, I can feel a disturbance in the force and I feel this may be the transfer window where JD joins the dark side.
chippy is right that I'm not a happy camper so far
my opinion has shifted slightly 'darker' - used to say I'd give Wenger one season of failure (no CL)
that's no longer the case. He's rejected chances to spend (bravely in a way - if unsure save money for the next manager)
but he's basically 'ALL IN' that he can deliver without splashing the cash
if he did miss out on top 4 i would now favour a new manager.
But that's an end of the season line in the sand, not an end of the window one...

It's the OG mate, I reckon 70% of posts on here could be prefaced/closed with Wenger out
and the other 30% are all posted by JD

Just one question does anyone know what is going on at the club because nothing makes sense at the moment Is there something going on behind the scene ? only teams who are completely in debt act like we are and down to the bare bones
2 keepers 2 fit cb 1 cf and this is arsenal not Portsmouth either the manager has completely lost the plot or one something more deep is happening
according to physioroom our injuries:
Y Sanogo Hamstring Injury no return date
T Walcott Ankle/Foot Injury 17th Aug 13
A Ramsey Ankle/Foot Injury no return date
R Miyaichi Rib Injury no return date
N Monreal Back Injury 1st Sep 13
T Vermaelen Back Injury 22nd Sep 13
E Frimpong Knee Injury no return date
V Diaby ACL Knee Injury no return date
those in bold injured + Bend and Park not even in CL Squad
Included in CL squad Thomas Eisfeld, Serge Gnabry, Damian Martinez and Zelalem
but that is basically because Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Carl Jenkinson and Emmanuel Frimpong are all on list B so don't have to be included.
We currently have a 15 man 1st team squad fit for a CL qualifier + at a stretch the totally untested Gnab, Eisf and Zelalem (he's only 16 FFS).
Just realised Ryo is slipping in longterm as a 'first team player'!
He's basically not done anything at all in an Arsenal shirt so far.
That is WAAAY beyond "a little thin", for any club. Let alone one fighting for a CL spot that so much rests on.
In the longer term, considering the fact Arsenal injuries are like Aussie middle order wickets (because we gamble on unfit players),
we have to have a DEEPER squad than average.

I said a couple of weeks ago that we have on of the worse squads in the PL AND WAS TOLD I AM HAVING A LAUGH but this proves my point.
Just to makes things worse Damian Martinez was taken of injured tonight our reserves last 3 games 4-3 loss to Orient 7-0 loss against Luton and 5-1 against Colchester and now some are picked in the CL squad you can not get rid of 20 odd players and replace with one injury prone player who was playing in div 2 French league this is plain criminal and not fair on fans who spend there hard earned money for the club they love to be run like this .Then to be told there is 180 mill in cash reserves it's a kick in the teeth

our squad is indisputably, ridiculously "thin"
but worst in the PL is a quality judgement. And I disagree with it.
The worst disastrous season that squad could have would still be top ten.
It's one of the shortest on experienced footballers in the Prem but we still have some excellent players.
Another benefit of getting rid of dross is that Wenger can no longer claim to have great depth in the squad and reel off shit player after shit player - he has to accept that our first-team squad is nowhere near big enough.
Although in reality he'll probably just turn to including youngsters in that squad even more.

I agree our top 16 players great and a few good signings I say in for a shout but after the 16 we are 9 players short

Nice cricket reference JD, that's the only thing that's kept me sane this window.
Careful though, you're starting to sound like 'one of us' now
What's more likely - Arsenal signing Suarez or JD joining the WOB?

The problem is though we will have people getting minor niggles, after which our medical team will get hold of them and they'll contract injuries unseen by any previous medical science and miss the rest of their careers.
We desperately need not only quality, but quality in quantity. Unfortunately we've dithered for so long the list of potential targets is rapidly dwindling - and so is the time available to bring them in.

Yep, the old "internal solutions" platitude will hove into view at the first sign of an injury crisis.
