SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's a fucking good job we always qualify for the Champions League otherwise we would lose all our star players. . . oh . . and we wouldn't be able to sign world class stars like . . .er, . . Sanogo? :banghead:

Twatter is full of people expressing disbelief that because kicker who broke the Wolfsburg "news" claimed we wouldn't budge from £14m to £17m - as though that would be a surprise.

Meanwhile Wolfsburg have told Sky Sports Germany that they haven't reached an agreement yet (might have to get our German freund to vouch for the translation): https://twitter.com/skysportnewshd/stat ... 5378994176

Well, you're right, it wouldn't be a surprise. When did the Arsenal management staff become such a bunch of craven, pathetic cheapskates?

Bit surprised that we didn't lose him to a champions league team i.e Napoli.

Oh well, you can't lose what you don't want to bid for.

How many names have we stricken off the list this summer as 'ones who got away'.......

Your post just reminds me of Days by the Kinks but the only bits I want to take from it are "Thank you for the days" and "though you are gone". But he is starting to ruin my final memory of when he f**ks off.

Can't see it myself, but if Saints value him at £5m we would bid £2m.

Back when Gazidis said we had 70 mil to spend, i always thought we would spend it on 3 players for no more than 10-15 million each, which i still think will happen. Wenger is waiting until as late as possible to sign someone, so he can spend as little as possible, and use the excuse that top players arent available.

Look on the bright side , with every passing day he's signing his own death warrant. :barscarf:

At this rate I mightn't even have to wait as long as May '14 for the happiest day of my life.
