On 115k a week I believe too, which is a lot by any standard not to mention there are a few in our team that probably have clauses in their contracts about matching other players wages.....

This is probably one of the main reasons we are not willing to bring the top players in imo.

Agree at most clubs the manager goes to the chairman to ask for money at arsenal the chairman asks wenger how much he thinks the club should spend. I also do buy into the notion that players are cheaper at the end of the window, most clubs will want more money as they have no time to get a replacement. We are a total shambles

It's unbelievable really - Spurs seem to be doing the best business along with Napoli, City and Chelsea (and of course PSG). Apart from Spurs they're all the nouveau rich - goes to show we just don't have the front men to do business when we can't compete for talent with the mob we leave in our dust. Just for reference, our local side has a manager even less liked than Wenger for almost the identical reasons and today we signed a Dutch CB that held Tevez et al at bay at the World Cup. If the Newcastle Jets can do business then fark me Wenger!!!!!
