SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Perhaps Wenger has resigned that useless bastard Song... I wouldn't put that past him at all!

Hleb? He is back in Belarus after playing for a mid-table Russian side. Might as well bring back Arshavin

I'm asking a genuine question about Song v Flamster
But was just joking about Hleb

That said I always liked watching him play

Song or Flamini?

Would you prefer a turd in your pint or piss on your chips?

Seriously though, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we signed Flamini as he's a) free, b) past his best and c) wenger knows his game. I'd be thoroughly underwhelmed though.

Song? I never want to see him in an Arsenal shirt again.

Wenger = GOAT wrote:Trust and hope is key.

The experience, the mental fortitude, the fight and grit shown from last season when we were staring down the barrel of abyss after the Sp*rs match will be brought to this transfer window in the last 18 days. The £80m war chest is about to unhinged by its chains.

Wenger will show everyone.

Chelsea, Man Utd, Man shitty are all shitting their pants. They know Wenger holds the trump card; the war chest.

In Europe Bayern, Barca and Madrid are also shitting their pants. The clubs around use such as Liverpool and the scum are envious of our power.

Flamini's career has gone to pot last few years (and he's a *word censored* to boot), really hope that he's not enrolled on the Arsenal plc charity contract scheme.

It would be only fair to redistribute yet more wealth via our "socialist" wage structure, and seeing as he's a former player surely we owe him a living?

I agree Klopp seems good but why are his best players keen to leave?

read my post i dont mention australia in there do i? 90,00 drongos chanting for liverpool is no surprise, look at the history and the relationship between aus and the motherland, i maintain my point about us being a bigger international brand than liverpool, for the very reasons i have mentioned before. your example is irrelevant to my point, as a small nation with hardly any people doesnt make up for the millions in the developing world, who are far more aware of us than the scousers.
well if you read my post you will see you've missed the point. The common view is that the powers that be are satisfied with financial security above footballing success - my point is that you can't guarantee financial security WITHOUT footballing success - it is a short term view. Our current international brand goodwill which generates the $$ will not survive continuing underperformance on the playing field. If we start to be mid table wanderers then our star will fall as quickly as City's has risen. PS the 'motherland' - give me a break, it's 2013 not 1913!
