SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

One of my mates just mentioned this. If it were true i'm sure Chelsea would have this sealed already.

Is this the truth ??

Obviously a far far fetched dream but if we were willing to pay 40m (+ £1 of course  ) for hannibal then falcao must be worth spending £60m-£65m on 8) :barscarf:
Can't find any info re Radamel Falcao being transfer listed but even if it is true..........

He has dodgy 3rd party owenership which, after the Tevez fiasco, I believe makes a transfer to England almost impossible, plus Wanger would never spend £50m+ on anyone.
Marca were reporting it so you know it's likely to be bullshit. I don't have a link to hand but if you're Spanish is up to much you can probably find it somehwere on there site.

I don't know much about Action Jackson, but Pablo Osvaldo is still out there and I like Adrian Lopez of Atletico.
Also, now that Dortmund have got a couple of new strikers, a loan bid for Lewendovski might be worth a punt.
Maybe we could buy Benteke before Saturday, it would probably guarantee us 3 points.

I looked up Pablo Osvaldo when we were linked
not sure if he's any good at football but him and Giroud would easily be the best looking strikeforce in the league

So if he doesn't look any good at football how would he make a great partner to a another man who isn't very good at football? :?

Having two strikers who can just wallop a ball would put us on par with Stoke in terms of strikers.

Balancing a walloper and a skillful attack could prove beneficial I agree but not two of them.

Never seen him play. "Good looking" just saying he (like Giroud) is attractive.
Was a random bit of silly gayness, not a genuine assessment of his value as a player...

No offence but that's a bizarre suggestion. Why would a player like Lewandowski go out on a loan and why on earth would Borussia let him? He is leaving on a free next summer (probably joining Bayern) so Borussia want to get everything out of him.

He is a still an important player for them and instead of loaning him out, they could sell him.

Would be interesting to have a punt on Lewandowski - I know they hardly want to sell but if it's a case of £35-40m this summer or nowt next year Dortmund may well sell.

I know he's too good for us really but if Dortmund accepted I think he'd definitely give us some consideration.

Problem is he said once and again he only wants Bayern. He could have gone to other clubs and BVB would sell, i think

Problem, Lewandowski has a pre contract with Bayern so he is going to them next year. BVB could have sold him to Chelsea or ManUtd or Real, but Lewandowski refused because of his pre contract with Bayern, end of story  !
