Villa match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We will beat the Villains 3-0 and everything in the Wenger garden will be rosy. :barscarf:

I think we will win tomorrow, but i can see a draw away at Fulham, and depressingly a loss to spurs, so four points from three games, and already finding ourselves in a battle for the virtual trophy :banghead:

Never have I felt so disinterested in the start of a new season...yes I want Arsenal to win today..but I just feel so let down and pissed off by my club and its manager.. Football is suppose to offer some sort of release from the normality of life, at the moment unemployment and bills are a welcome release from football.

Arsenal should run out to the strains of " we've still got our war-chest ".

Anyway KEEP CALM AND BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR.

I'm with you. Had a rubbish week at work and today should be that little oasis. Am going today and hope I'm surprised but even if that's the case doesn't mask the disgraceful shambles we are enduring thanks to ''him''.

His next two injuries will be when he tries to climb off the treatment table
and
Putting his hefty weighted wallet in his back pocket

Like many I am 'torn' I sooo want Arsenal to Win - natch!, But if the only way we can get to see the back of Wenker is for us to lose more games than previously - which could lead to his leaving then I am also sorely tempted to want that...It's a matter of which is the more painful....the continuance of this looooong drawn out agony of getting a sniff of a trophy (a bit like the transfer saga - again under his mis-management) only to see it evaporate before our eyes or One Utterly Awful Season that see's us finish lower than 5th/6th - and then a new fresh start under a new manager.

I have felt like this for a few seasons, torn between wanting us to do well and wanting Wenger to properly fail. Either way it is a long painful wait for it to go either way.

Wenger and the squad have been teetering on the brink for so long and keep getting away with it. Very frustrating and a real test of fan loyalty to the team. It is not a healthy situation.

COME ON ARSENAL!!! Let's do this.
Need to start the season with a win.

An early goal would make such a difference, we could actually enjoy the day!
I expect Villa to focus on counter-attacking so would love to see both Cazorla and Rosicky start.
Doubt it will happen.

Want us to go 2 down today, loads of abuse directed toward Gazidis and Wenger.

Then goals from Walcott (81 mins), Cazorla (87 mins) and Koscielny (90+3)

I can't wish a defeat on any Arsenal team, but I do want more and more fans to let them both know that not buying quality in the next 14 days is not an option.

Wenger wants to buy. He's hugely stubborn.
This game will not change his opinion of what we need.
I want us to win clearly and stylishly so I can enjoy the day.

In our best seasons various players get off the mark early on.
So my beginning of the season pref is as many goalscorers as possible.

Honestly think he should have signed Higuain, statement of intent and all that, we were never going to get Suarez. Anyone we go for now will just have their price hiked as the selling club know we're desperate.
