SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

Hearing Spurs have agreed a deal with Anzhi for Willian.

The 4th place trophy is looking increasingly unattainable at this rate.

Okay, it's 2:30am and I've had a revelation.. this summer is all making sense! (and not in a good way)

Wenger admitted the other day that "we analyse every single player in the world and work 24 hours a day for that"

Think about that sentence for a second... we analyse EVERY SINGLE PLAYER IN THE WORLD! fuckin hell, that's impressive... and explains a lot.

Lets say there's 1 million players in the world at all levels of the game, and we've had 3 months to assess them all. That works out at roughly 462 players per hour!

No wonder they work 24hrs a day and have found no time to get any deals done!

Time for bed now :proudtosay:

Its another Wengerballs gem isn't it? Up there with the two transfer markets and rotational leadership, not to mention not liking "the spirit" of how the game was refereed.

I like your maths.....its a bit like working out how Santa manages to visit 6bn households a year. I actually believe in Santa more than I believe that the Self Harmer will ever make another signing worthy of the name

It was a matter of weeks ago people were saying I was well off the track suggesting that Wenger will NEVER sign a £20m plus player. I still stand by that comment

265 million players according to FIFA, as of 2006.
That is male and female players, so knock off a million for the women, but add it back in for population growth since 2006.

So this computer in Highbury House is analizing 122,685 players per hour.
That is 34 players per second, every second, twenty four hours per day, for three months.
What has been the result of all this calculation?

"Computer says saNOgo!"

ONE ARSENE WENGER.......THERE'S ONLY ONE ARSENE WENGER

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

265 million players and not a single one of them who can improve the current squad despite extensive day and night analysis

Honestly, if Wenger was a horse he'd be inside a Tesco value pack of burgers by now

Loaning Miguel,Djourou, and Colquen was a criminally negligent act particularly since we pay more of their wages than the loaning club do,and we knew vermaelen was injured going into the season !
None were so important individually but collectively its a gaping hole .

As much as Wenger appears to be waiting for UCL qualification to complete some transfers I also suspect that some targets have said lock me in once you qualify. It's a sellers market.

I just cannot get my head around the fact that the media dont push him harder on his claim that there are no available players better than the one's we already have - clearly a bullshit statement that needs challenging  I think those of us hoping we would sign julio cesar from qpr can put that hope to bed now :( :x

Which players have been waiting for CL qualification before they lock in? Nonsense.

If Wenger is looking at Michu for 20m+ then I don't trust him with the PR padded flat warchest. No way should this journeyman one season wonder be our big purchase.

Michu for 20m +

Seriously, if Wenger pays that then it's proof beyond doubt that the imbecile is completely senile.

He's incapable of managing a 'big' club. This is the year Spuds get 4th, we don't stand a chance.

Man Utd trying to rip off Everton

Everton reject £28m bid for Fellaini and Baines from Manchester United

Manchester United have had a joint £28m bid for Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines rejected by Everton, with the Merseyside club intent that neither is for sale.

The deal consisted of £16m for Fellaini and £12m for Baines. Everton insist neither Baines or Fellaini will be sold before the end of the summer transfer window on 2 September.

David Moyes, the United manager, sanctioned the offer for his two former players at the end of last week but Everton instantly turned it down.

An Everton spokesperson told the Guardian: "We can confirm a bid was made and that it was rejected out of hand."

Fellaini cost around €19m (£16m at the present rate) with add-ons when Moyes bought the Belgian midfielder to Everton from Standard Liege in 2008. With United offering around the same sum it appears the club do not believe the 25-year-old's value has increased after five years of Premier League experience.

The rejection of the joint bid is the latest set-back in the market for Moyes and Ed Woodward, the executive vice-president. Their pursuit of Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas, the manager's prime target, also appears unlikely after the midfielder spoke publicly about his desire to stat at the club.
