It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.
Help me out here. I seem to have found myself with absolutely fuck all to do at work for about 75% of the time in the last few weeks. Not sure why, I must be too efficient – I seem to finish what work I do have very quickly
The problem is, trying to look busy is in fact hard work in itself. One has to be constantly on alert when on forums, facebook, twitter all day. So I need tips and advice on how to waste time like a pro.
A good one I’ve found is to write out all your forums posts, tweets, facebook rants in advance on word then copy & paste them across. Really looks like you’re writing a proper report or something to anyone passing your desk
I have to make my desk look busy, I clutter it up with lots of shit and paper, I also have an email primed and ready to go (one that isn't urgent) that I can always revert back to should the powers to be come over lurking behind my desk. I also go to the toilet quite alot (I leave a newspaper in there) I take a wander around the building, I can do that in my job (although not as much as I used to as I'm in a different job), it's a hard one mate, don't do all your work so quickly leave some for a bit later.
Wandering is a good one! I like to try and take the longest possible route to the toilet, I found a new vending machine hidden away down a corridor the other day – was pretty much the highlight of my week
Scribbling random things down on a notepad is a good one, makes it look like your taking down plenty of important notes. Just make sure you bin these notes at the end of the day or if you leave your desk, people tend to think you’re a mentalist if they find pages and pages of random, rambling, non-sensical scribbles lol
What do you do Dan if you don't mind me asking? In my job I have to use the internet quite alot so can get away with browsing on it for most of the day....

I'm in Marketing/Design/Social Media mate, think we're just in a quiet period right now tbh. I'm at the computer most of the day so can kill time on the net for the most part, fuck knows what i'd do if I wasn't at a PC
1. I sometimes go to the toilet and sleep, making sure I have my inter department mobile phone with me.
2. Browse the internet
3. Go down to workshop floor for chat.

What. The. Fuck.
Seriously, sid?
I'm literally laughing out loud after reading that. Why in the name of sweet Christ on a bike would you sleep in a toilet?? And one at work, which is basically a public toilet??

And to follow this up, HOW?
I mean, if you sit on the toilet wouldn't you quite literally "drop off?"

Doesn't everyone The office toilets in our place are spotless and all individual little rooms, the disabled one is best, plenty of room and a padded back support. During the recent hot weather I was in there in nothing but my underbags trying to cool down.
