SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's so depressing seeing all these great players join other clubs, and AW is still shrugging his shoulders and saying 'buy who'?

Do we have scouts?

So did Cabaye tell them he wanted to leave then?? :?:

I think Yohan Kebab would play well alongside Pita Beardsley

Yeah, shame we couldn't get that bloke from Chile as he would have been the perfect addition to that combo!!

Ben Smith ‏@BenSmithBBC 1h

Spud wankers now look set to complete moves for Wilian and Erik Lamela. Anyone would think they were about to come into some money.

Who is Eric Lamela?

Juventus's Paul Pogba and former Milan, and Arsenal, man Mathieu Flamini are the men lined up to bolster the Gunners midfield. Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic will be jammed in the trolley alongside Swansea's Michu and half a dozen tins of beans that have found their way in there in the confusion. And the defensive crisis will be eased by the arrival of Manchester City's Micah Richards and Schalke full-back Atsuto Uchida.

If we sign Begovic, Micah Richards, Paul Pogba and a top striker, I will be satisfied.
It has to be a real top striker though and I'm afraid unless its Suarez or Rooney then forget it. Michu is not a real top striker. He's a modern day Kevin Phillips with one freak season and hasn't got the quality required.

We sold one of the world's top strikers, one of the only players in world football capable of playing as the lone striker in our team so unless we sign someone of equivalent quality we have once again gone backwards

Don't know enough about Pogba but would have doubts that a bloke who Fergie had for a while and couldn't push his way into the side ahead of his Dad's Army must have something wrong with him.

Flamini - jesus wept. What an absolutely disgusting stinking backward step......oh, and he's not as good as Arteta anyway

Best made up story of this transfer window :) He would fit perfectly to provide long pases to Suarez and Higuain  :barscarf:
Is it renewal time again?

24 hours a day? :rubchin:

If we are going to give the silly old fart money then of the players we're linked with Begovic and Richards, if he can stay fit for more than a week, would be good signings.

Cannot understand why we are after Kebab, smacks of desperation and in the meantime if we sent a scout up the road we'd find Willian having a medical at the scum.

Who is Eric Lamela?
21-year-old Argentinian attacking midfielder/forward who can play through the middle and on the right. Got 15 goals and 5 assists in 30 starts for Roma last season.

If the Spuds are signing both Willian and Lamela, Bale is 100% a goner.

As are our hopes of silverware, or possibly even top 4, based on our planned spending (Michu, Williams and Cabeye)

spurs have spent all their money in advance so if I was Madrid, I'd reduce my offer to £5

Poor old Lille and Montpellier must be sweating now. Only a few days left for Wenger to fund their entire wage bill for the next 2 years

Wait a minute. Didn't wenger said he only wants super super quality players so michu, cabaye and Williams must be super super quality right? I believe with their addition we can win everything including the holy CL.

Now where is my goddamn pill???
