Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
No, it really doesn't. Alleged isn't a magic 7 symbols that gives you immunity - if you use the word in a context where you clearly suggest that they're guilty (like inverted commas) then of course it's still potentially libellous.
Take a look at Roustam Tariko - an oligarch who didn't acquire any assets through privatisation and built his empire from scratch. You've already made a number of accusations of criminality and swipes at him as a recognised oligarch.
For somebody that was incredibly worried that this board may get into trouble because a poster called Wenger a fraud for taking so much money whilst not spending it on transfers and not delivering on promises, do you really think that it would be harder to take you to court for what you've said (bearing in mind there isn't any evidence proven in any court of law against many of those blokes)?

And the English empire did not years ago, what short memory you have.highburyJD wrote:All the Russian oligarchs rape the resources of their country for personal gain.
Jabba is easily the worst of them. I could never hate any football person like I hate those avatars of avarice.
the insertion of 'alleged' was for the benefit of the board
Jabba sicks Schillings of scared web providers but he would never actually sue an individual
Could not afford his, commonly known in Uzbekistan, dirty laundry aired in court.
Wenger was specifically accused of financial crimes.
Of being a common criminal. On an Arsenal board.
This place does get pretty embarrassing sometimes.
Comparing a fat scumbag Uzbek 'businessman' to a great Arsenal manager.
There are a lot of rich people in this country who have made there millions by hook or crook.

And if David Dein like this guy it's fine by me

Wish some of those media hacks would grow a set and quote this article back at him.

heard a rumour that wenger get profits from the profit generated ...could that be the reason he is not buying players?

Didn't Hillwood (or some other board member) say a couple of years ago something along the lines of " we leave everything up to Arsene, cos he's so intelligent" (paraphrasing of course) basically he gets carte blanche to run the club from top to bottom as he see's fit - as nobody, even those supposed to be in charge, questions any of the decisions made.officepest wrote:A very well reasoned agrument SteveO. Arsene pervades every single area of the club and seems incapable or unwilling to keep out of matters that, as you point out, he should have no business in.
That he has been allowed to attain such a position within the club is both worrying and harmful.

Thankfully we have well over that amount of money sitting in the coffers, some say nearly double that amount.George71 wrote:Another summer wasted & the panic button about to be pressed, so expect rash signings.
We were told when our new stadium was built, when we paid off our debt we would compete with the likes of the chav's & Manure.
We have been patient, we have given them 7 years, now it's time they kept to their word.
Players like Yaya Toure, Ibrahimovic, Bale, Zaha & all the players this year we are letting slip away, it will cost well over £100 million to compete on a level playing surface.![]()
The board will say we are bad fans & that we don't know any thing about football, ever since David Dein got pushed out HMS Arsenal has been sinking.
Now I can hear the Wenger clone speaking his garble again, is he trying to protect the BOARD? Like he has done since our move to the Emirates![]()

I have one thing to say to Usmanov please buy our club, & save our ship?
The problem is that the value of that cash is depleting every season due to transfer fees increasing. Not to mention nearly every top class striker moved this summer and won't be available for 2 or 3 years.
Still time though if we get a manager installed by next summer, personally I hope it is Klopp, as there are a few German players that will be ripe for the picking and would be willing to come;
Gundogan (thought he was Madrid bound but Illaramendi is too similar for them to buy)
Reus
Draxler
probably more then I can list

I'm surprised the Ministry of Truth haven't had that one erased from the record. I agree, it should be levelled at Wenger as it would be interesting to see what he makes of it now.Dan_85 wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 051143.stm

It's quite bizarre how we got into a situation whereby the bloke in charge of the football team managed de facto to become part of the board too.StuartL wrote:Didn't Hillwood (or some other board member) say a couple of years ago something along the lines of " we leave everything up to Arsene, cos he's so intelligent" (paraphrasing of course) basically he gets carte blanche to run the club from top to bottom as he see's fit - as nobody, even those supposed to be in charge, questions any of the decisions made.

- What other people (Sp*rs and Liverpool) do will have a bearing on whether we get the 4th place trophy. You don't exist in a micro-climate Wenger, even though you act like you doYou cannot look all the time in life at what others do. You do what is right for you

- So if the current squad is so great, why didn't they win the league last season? It is not always to think what is outside is better than what you have. What is important as well is to rate what you have and our fans have to understand that as well

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
Unfortunately, Wenger is scrabbling around so much that he's contradicting himself all the time. It's inevitable when you make such huge mistakes and are so deluded. I don't say this lightly, I really believe it.
You can't on the one hand justify Arsenal's lack of business by pointing out that others haven't also done business and then say you cannot always look at what others do. Well, you just did it to justify your lack of investment! This is just one of a hundred examples.
I don't trust him anymore. On any level. It's clear from all sources that things are rotten at Arsenal. Arsenal's youth structure, Arsenal's scouting which leads to the pile of shit we just got rid of, Arsenal's recruitment strategy, Arsene's tactics, etc... the list goes on and is depressing.
This is like a very long drawn out car crash. You can see that it's going to happen but it hasn't yet. Of course, on the way there's been a few bumps - perhaps the driver is high or drunk - and the car is veering across the road. I don't want to see the end of this scene.
I want us to win tonight and go through but it is delaying the inevitable "big crash" even longer.

Agree totally - there is no way in the world that this can have a happy ending for anybody unless wenker fcuks off. The longer he stays the worse this car crash will be and imo it's fairly horrific even now. The man sits in press conferences spouting about "contradictory" remarks but yet spouts bullshit that conflicts with statements he himself made just a few days ago

Cannot for the life of me figure out why a group of media hacks could recall every sending off and incident of the wenker early years and would delight at hopping it at him in press conferences, but at the same time they seem unable to recall statements like the one made 4 years ago saying that he would fcuk off in two years if we hadnt won anything cos his policy would have failed

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
Compulsive liars always tie themselves up in knots and end up sounding silly and contradictory. Wanger has been lying through his teeth for years. Honourable? Honest? Not two words you can associate with Wanger the Dictator. What a *word censored*.
