Re: Fenerbahce away
I hope Fenerbahce stuff us, I honestly do. If it means the demise of Wenger I hope they win 10-0.
It's just one painful, cringeworthy event after another now. 80mill to spend but nought spent already into the season, a joke of a squad with no depth whatsoever, right-backs playing left-back, losing 1-3 at home to relegation fodder on the first day, bidding for Newcastle kids a few hours before their kick-off, bidding an extra pound (40,000,001), pathetic excuse-laden post-match interviews. For fucks sake. How much more of this embarrassing shit must we all endure?
Wenger's not normal. He's a weirdo. A fucking eccentric try-hard embarrassing us all.
I'd rather we totally crashed and Wenger burns than we just keep on limping along like this season after season. We've LOST OUR CLASS AND OUR PRIDE as a club. Young Turks be free tonight.

Re: Fenerbahce away
I think we might win tonight. There's less pressure than playing at home. Wenger's constant anxiety won't transmit as much to the players with the Turkish crowd.
Doesn't change any facts though about how our club's being mismanaged. Plus give it another few weeks and even more players will be injured.
I'd love to hear the truth from Dick Law btw - is he living up to his first name or is he constantly being put in an impossible situation.
Wenger attacking the media - so why don't they really turn on him? They still seem to portray him as a slightly delusional but well intentioned, principled old uncle. Not as a manager paid £7 million a year to do his job well.

How they can claim any sort of moral High ground and attack posters who want us to win is beyond me .
Its very simple if u want us to lose then your not Asenal fan so please find another outlet for your spleen-venting .
For those in Istanbul If arriving to Attaturk airport its only 4km taxi ride to Attakoy Marina.. Then half hour boat/ferry very scenic across Bosphorus to Kadikoy marina on Asian side and hotel 2 mins walk.
Dont go by road it takes forever If your across in the Taksim Hotel area take the Tunnel Tube down to the the Horn takes 3 mins and get on the Ferry to Kadikoy,15 mins ride.
Theres a bunch meeting up there in the afternoon for beers and food !
Maybe I am clutching at straws here but I believe there is a real chance that if we got knocked (and the turks dont then get expelled) wenker will be forced to resign. Now that might not be a justification in your eyes for Gooners wanting us to lose but let me put this in some context for you - if we qualify wenker will remain in charge (at least until next summer) thus ensuring that nothing will change and almost guaranteeing the scum finish ahead of us and get champs league football next season, but if wenker is removed and is replaced by a tactically astute manager then we have some semblence of hope of keeping those c.unts out of top 4. Can you imagine the spending power those cnuts would have if they had champs league money in their pockets ? Can you picture how much pulling power they would have next season with champs league football and a highly regarded coach plus living in london seems to be a bonus attraction. Can you imagine the task a new Arsenal manager would have then trying to catch up with them next season in those circumstances and having a shite squad to work with ? Doesnt bear thinking about does it ? At least we know that if we balls up against the turks then the scum still wont be in it this season
Sometimes herd short term pain is necessary for long term gain and I would suggest to you that the bigger picture suggests that this is one such time
Re: Fenerbahce away
I'm clutching at the same straws. Get dumped out of the CL and lose to the scum and I reckon Wenger's position becomes pretty much untenable, the venom aimed at him will be toxic.augie wrote:Maybe I am clutching at straws here but I believe there is a real chance that if we got knocked (and the turks dont then get expelled) wenker will be forced to resign.
Re: Fenerbahce away
That's the thing, he wouldn't resign even if we got dumped out of the CL and got beaten at home by that lot. He just bunkers down and weathers out the storm until we put up a run against some mid table sides. If he wouldn't resign at 8-2 and Blackburn/Bradford what makes you think he will do it this time? Yeh he is under more pressure than before but he won't resign, he hasn't a shred of decency to do so. He still has another 7.5m to earn for fuck all.augie wrote:Herd wrote:Im sorry I cannot want us to lose ,those that want us too are just bitter twats who need us to lose to justify their ever incessant whining.

Re: Fenerbahce away
I have no problem with fellow gooners wanting us to win tonight, in fact many of them will also be anti-wenger. I however like a growing number of fans have realised that it will be financial failure that brings his tenure to an end and I see clge elimination as the first step to this, followed by a hopefully unprofitable europa league then failure to qfy for next season clge.

But mate if we go put of the cl and lose to the 5pur2 and Wenger does indeed leave the transfer window will be closed and no way with this squad will we get 4th but 5pur2 will.augie wrote:Herd wrote:Im sorry I cannot want us to lose ,those that want us too are just bitter twats who need us to lose to justify their ever incessant whining.

I don't think we will get 4th with or without Wenger this season, he won't buy anyone of note and we will end up behind them lot and probably l'pool, Wenger will go at the end of the season retiring to some fuckin mansion (taking his love child diaby with him) and a new manager will have to start all over again, we won't see top 4 for at least 3 years starting from this season and tbh I won't miss the cl as most of the games are boring.
Oh well, 16 years was a good run it has to be said.
Re: Fenerbahce away
Got to get that *word censored* Wenger out asap no matter what it takes, each passing day he stays he destroys the club that little bit more, as augie says and looking at the signings the **** have made the future looks a lot better for them than it does us, and the longer Wenger remains the harder it will be to catch them, I hope Wenger goes through as much misery as hes putting us through but on 7.5 million for doing fuck all I doubt that very much. He wont walk away as hes to arrogant and stubborn
Re: Fenerbahce away
Lefty we have several problems within the club as things stand (lack of quality in the squad being the big one) but dont you think that our tactics or lack thereof is also playing a huge part ? I can say that I absolutely 1000% (yes I meant that extra 0) believe that GG would do a lot better tha wenker is with this squad - for starters he would have us set up defensively that no c.unt would waltz through our midfield and defence like that gobbie brummie dick did last saturday
Secondly he would absolutely rid the club of this lazy half arsed apathy that is so common in our displays in recent seasons - shape up or fcuk out would be his mantra. Finally he would introduce a modern concept where players actually play in their proper positions
Yes I am aware that he too was guilty of sometimes playing players out of position (kevin campbell for starters) but that was a "horses for courses" plan and wasnt the norm like the current CIC does
Obviously I am not for one second advocating a return to GG but what I am saying is that there are managers out there that are tactically extremely competent and would actually be flexible enough to be able to use a different system against teams like barcelona than he would against the likes of bradford
No that wouldnt on it's own make us title challengers again but at least it would allow us some chance of stabilising the club - worth a chance surely ?

Re: Fenerbahce away
Even if we fail to qualify (and lose to Spurs) I don't see Wenger walking away or the board having the balls to sack him.
As others have said he didn't walk after Old Trafford debacle, or domestic cup defeats so I don't see it being any different if we lose now.
Only glimmer of hope is that enough pressure is put on now that board won't want to offer a contract extension.
So hoping for a win tonight in order to get more money rolling in for new manager next season who will actually spend it!

Re: Fenerbahce away
I agree augie but what manager will come in at the 11th hour who could organise us
I agree that tactically Wenger is inept but has been for years, if he had been the 04 team would have won the cl surely, just don't want a last minute manager coming in that could actually do worse with this squad
I will never want The Arsenal to lose (even if it meant him going sooner) because no matter how I feel towards the manager and board I will always want those 11 players on the pitch to win (I may well cun.t a few of them off while watching but that's different
).
It's all a bit sad as I have always been optimistic when it comes to Arsenal but I can't see us doing the necessary business to have us challenging again for a long time.

Jupp Heynickes or Guus Hiddink are available. I'd have either in a heartbeat over Wenger.LeftfootlegendGooner wrote:I agree augie but what manager will come in at the 11th hour who could organise us![]()
