So would I but will they come in at the 11th hour with our squad and knowing they will have to wait till January to bolster the squad.begeegs wrote:Jupp Heynickes or Guus Hiddink are available. I agree that tactically Wenger is inept but has been for years, if he had been the 04 team would have won the cl surely, just don't want a last minute manager coming in that could actually do worse with this squad![]()
I will never want The Arsenal to lose (even if it meant him going sooner) because no matter how I feel towards the manager and board I will always want those 11 players on the pitch to win (I may well cun.t a few of them off while watching but that's different).
It's all a bit sad as I have always been optimistic when it comes to Arsenal but I can't see us doing the necessary business to have us challenging again for a long time.
Re: Fenerbahce away
Honestly, there isn't a sodding chance that Wenger will go if we lose this match. The best anyone can hope for is that he goes at the end of the season. Kroenke having to pay out the remaning £7m on his contract, and then task Gazidis with finding a new manager in a matter of days / weeks......not a sodding prayer. Don't even do it to yourself
Two seasons ago Wenger got the same reaction when we lost 0-2 at home to Liverpool and then got our arses tanned on the Day of the Banner at Old Trafford. We finished the season 4th and we will again.
I would still put money on Wenger's contract being extended by Christmas. We'll be hovering around the top four, securely into the last 16 of the Chumpions League and he'd have burnt through £60m on average players which in his mind (and the Board's) will be evidence that he isn't scared to spend money on 'super quality'

Steve0. £1,000 says we will not be 4th or better mate.

If we went waving a few million quid under their noses (which is less than Dear Leader makes), I think that they would be keen - even with no strengthening until the winter window.LeftfootlegendGooner wrote:

Unfortunately, as SteveO points out, Wenger won't walk and the board won't sack. So we are at a stalemate unless fans give it to him with both barrels (providing no expenditure) every game. That would be my wet dream really because I'd rather have paid my money to see something interesting at the Emirates this year and if it is pantomime, then that's better than another season of groundhogs wandering around on the pitch.
Re: Fenerbahce away
Really looking forward to checking ceefax every 20-25 mins tonight to see how the game is going. I would rather pluck mine own eyes out than watch it.
Come on Johnny Turkey I hope you've primed yourself well.

Re: Fenerbahce away
As others have said, Wenger isn't getting sacked if we don't qualify for the CL. We'd get into the Europa and the club will be able to bang on about that and still find positives after getting butt fucked by Latvian part-timers.
Unfortunately, Wenger will tell Arsenal when he's ready to step down.

Don't know about that mate. If you took the Monkey and the Cannibal's contributions out of the Scum and the Mickeys last year they would have been fucked. The Monkey is definitely off and the Cannibal doesn't want to be there no matter what public announcements have been made. Agger also wants out of the Mickeys. They haven't bought especially wisely except I would say for Mignolet who was obviously not available at the 'right price' or any better than we have already (yep Fabianski is way better)
Everton are about to be dicked by Moyes robbing them of their best two players and nobody else even comes remotely close to capable of top four over 38 games (although I'll have some fun telling g88ner that West Brom are dark horses

So it could only be the Spuds and to be honest I think a flood of new signings won't make up for losing the Monkey

Relax it is only a piss take - I find it far more frustrating that steve spent the whole summer banging on about some bloody bbq and yet the summer is almost at an end and no fcuking invite in sight

Re: Fenerbahce away
I would say it mightent be the worse thing if we don't make the Champions League because it might give AW and the board a kick up the Arsenal but the fact of the matter is it won't, Saturday proved that. No matter how much of a kick up the backside they get, they will still stick to their ways. A fat scouser made a great point on Monday "Everyone gets value for money, except Arsenal supporters".

i want Rasenal to win every game, but if we don't win tonight and it brings Wenger's exit then that's a bonus.
its desperate times - remember the defats to blackburn and Bradford ? 7 months later and we are still talking about the lack of quality, preparation and organisation.
law of sod - Giroud or Wally will score an early goal and the turks will fall apart...
