ANR

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

There may be some truth to this stuff, but how will we ever really know? I for one hope that it is true! I mean if the board are really pushing for Wenger to spend big, and yet he is refusing in a way, surely if the coming season is a failure then he must leave?! Or is that just blind optimism on my part?
I think you know the answer to that

Gazidis only recently talked about putting together a new contract for wenger. My guess is that will stand regardless of what happens this summer... and will happen too soon for our final league position to be a factor. :(

ok, Wenger makes money for the owners and all but all this ever growing dissent and general problems to sell ST's and diamond club packs can't be good for business. I mean we're not even the " attrative football choice" we're just scraping past our very low standards.

Imo, Gazidis is gently frying Wenger to leave him in a situation where his stay, bar a trophy, ( which we all know won't happen even if Bayern's squad is given to him) becomes just unsustainable

I noticed he posted one of your messages Quartz.

I know he's not exactly popular on here, but I find Myles Palmer's ANR to be the most interesting blog on the internet. Hope he doesn't pack it in!

I find myself strangely drawn to ANR. I can't explain why but I look at it most days.

To be fair, it's his blog and he blogs about what he enjoys. He was a football and music journalist, so that's his passions. It's a free service, so it's fair enough.

In any case, I'd say it's easily 90% Arsenal?

Chips is Hillwoods buddy on the board ,he isn't going to rock any boats nor are any of the rest.
The Only person who has the knife out for Wenger is Gazidis who wants more authority and has from the get go .
He wants to play the role of a general manager in US franchises where coaches are coaches and the big decisions are taken upstairs .
Far from being joined at the hip they despise each other.
If it hadn't been for Gazidis in 2011 we would NOT have signed the players we did on the last day and it was him that saved the Arteta deal after wenger baulked at the fee ( quelle suprise)with less than 1 hour to go b4 the deadline.
Wenger was in a major huff that nasri and fabregas were sold and was making life as awkward as he could for gazidiswho went above his head to sell them .....he wasn't even in the UK on the last day but in some coaching seminar on the continent.
Don't get me wrong i don't like Gazidis but he wants to make his mark in football by being a GM of a successful franchise.
Our lack of success/investment is hurting us very badly int the corporate dept with many of the boxes unsold and hose that are sold only used 3/4 times a year which makes him look bad to kroenke whose man he is .
DB Im sry u may not believe it but there are many people who work for the Arsenal and the place leaks info like a sieve.
If I told u even a 10th of what I hear it would make your hair stand on end !
