THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

AKB = Arsene Knows Best. For all the fans that think he can do nothing wrong!
So it is not kind of an organized fan club?

Maybe we are all getting a bit too negative.
Lets seek out the plus points of the week.
While the Ox is out for 3 months we will save the £10k per game we pay to Southampton every time he plays more than 20 minutes.
:barscarf: :barscarf:
Theres only one Arsene Wenger.

It won't be down to the fans though, the board have to sack the old bugger. In some doubt as to whether the board value our opinions. Thank god PHW has gone because he held the fans in absolute contempt.

Anyone see the interview on Sky - Wenger said he wasn't expecting the strength of protest. What was he expecting, after doing nothing in the transfer window, and that defeat - a round of applause?

Not even a board as incompetent as ours could sit idly by while there is open revolt in the stands. Ultimately the fans have the power, Saturday's anger and the stadium emptying will have been noted.

I'm not sure they've got the stones to sack him as he's become far too powerful. As soon as qualification for the Pointless League has been achieved they'll have a nice fat new contract for the old fool, complete with pay rise.

Didn't Ivan at the last AGM say something along the lines of " ultimately it will be the fans that decides that" when questioned about Arsene being offered a new contract ??

Yeah but Ivan's the master of spin - manages to witter on for five minutes without actually answering the question!

Yep. Precisely why winning tonight was not ever going to be a positive. Apparently everything is alright now. Ridiculous.
