According to Wikipedia:-

In 1987, when Podolski was two years old, his family emigrated from Poland to West Germany and were given Aussiedler status as a result of his paternal grandparents having German citizenship prior to World War II (Gliwice had until 1945 been a part of Germany as Gleiwitz).

Podli holds a Polish and a German passport. And history shows he is more German than Polish.

Sorry, but this conspiracy is beyond question.
Only cos the Krauts (Prussians) conquered in the 18th Century mate !....he's a Pole as was my Dad who was born when Poland did not exist ! :)
Since when did facts get in the way of a good conspiracy?

Podolski turned his back on Poland and plays football for Germany.
Wengers father was forced to fight for the Germans in WWII

Mad, deluded people don't think rationally therefore Poldi is in Wengers eyes a German and therefore Wenger needs to exert control by teasing him with a few minutes on the pitch rather than let him flourish - same for Arshavin, Gervinho and Chamakh. All made to look like failures by the control freak manager who wants France to create a new Empire and regain lost countries and replay previous battles with enemies of France, even though he is mostly German.

Classic serial killer profile but he has it (just about) under control and only kills careers. You can see he is a tortured soul, just look at that pinched up face.
I just thought he needed a sandwich and some sun......

Mertesacker is actually ethnically French. His surname in French is Merdesacer. The surname originates from a French family of fertiliser merchants who used to sell "sacs" of "merde."
Ah, a follower and a perfectly rational explanation.

I would also add that Per (phonetically identical to the French word for Father) was never first choice until Vermaelen (being Belgian and therefore a faux Frenchman) inexplicitly lost form and Wenger ran out of CB's.

Previously Wenger would just use Merdesacer (Mertesacker) to humiliate the German by making people laugh at his gangly (Peter Crouch-like) stature and his extraordinary inability to jump. Just watch the videos of Wenger giggling whenever Pere Merdesacer gets out jumped by German De Foe.

And before JD or KiWUMya suggest I seem pissed off about us winning....far from it. Always pleased with the win.....just an inevitable, wholly predictable part of the sequence in our season. A little mini run will follow in the league and we'll get no points from the visits to Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford. We'll qualify from the Group, go out in the last 16th, get to the League Cup quarter finals, the FA Cup 5th round and finish 4th

Your sarcasm is so refreshing. So clever. So witty. Please continue. It's not like we are all pissed off and that all we need is a fellow gooner rubbing it in. It just makes things so much more tolerable. Please continue with the sarcasm on every post, in every thread. It really brightens my day after being faced with constant depressing transfer stories.

I refuse to believe that anything about Arsenal could depress you mm99

He's either incredibly lucky or a Master Conjurer who is just messing with our barnets and will suddenly unveil the best signings in Arsenal's history.... :?

You've always got to brag about your nice holidays haven't you? Always knew you were part of the prawn sandwich brigade!!

As far as the game is concerned, a very good performance against a team that reached the semi finals of the Europa Lge so although they were utter shite, we did a good job on them.
Ramsey continued his improvement but still tried a couple of fancy flicks near the end, PACK IT IN. Was screaming at him to give the ball back to Jack before he shot for his goal!
The sort of peformance that will hopefully make Wenger wake up and see what the addition of a couple of Worldy players might, just might turn this club into again.
Just fucking do it.....NOW

On German SKY they were stunned who bad Fenerbace played and they thought that it was due to the fact that they would loose the case at 28.8 in front of CAS anyway....

Poldi looked dire again, he really does not fit our style of play...

Honestly thought he was going to get shipped out this summer...

The Finnish commentator who knows Turkish football quite well was shocked how bad Fehner was. It was like they weren't even interested about the game and result at all. He said that even Arsenal as it's current state should just walk over them and that is what basically happened. I agree with this because it's almost certain that they will lose the CAS case anyway.

However, I have to admit that Arsenal played very nice football at times yesterday and there were some great passing play. Cazorla was totally different guy compared to last Saturday.
