Young Guns Enclosure - Ridiculous!

Young Guns Enclosure - Ridiculous!

Post by Mr Eboue »

Only noticed this when trying to buy Stoke tickets this morning.

Blocks 24-25 are now solely for 12-16yr olds. Combine that with the Family Enclosure it now means that as a lowly red member, I’m unable to get a ticket in the Lower tier for me and my mate, considering the rest of the lower tier is always sold out.

Ridiculous that I'm now spending £42 in the upper tier to see Stoke. :banghead: (Yes I'm aware I don't have to go, but promised my mate who's a Stokie that i'd get him a ticket)

:banghead: :banghead:

So what your saying is Arsenal are a disgrace for give more cheaper tickets to the next generation of fans rather than you who would like to give the ticket to a stoke fan. :? Considering they don't usually take their full allocation could you not get him a ticket in the stoke end? I know who I would prefer the ticket to go to.

I had the same thing for Villa. I used to always be able to get lower tier as a silver member in the clock end so could still go for £35ish for a home B game. Now they are the new 'Young Guns' thing (12-18 I believe) so now I can't get tickets there. Ended up having to pay £48 a ticket in the upper tier.

I can understand the logic behind it, but wish they had used an upper tier block or two for it, but that would have meant them missing out on even more revenue. Annoying.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting the new generation of Gooners in. I would just rather they didn't take away one of the few places I was able to get lower tier tickets for(without using the exchange). Problem could be solved if they moved the away fans upstairs, but we all know that's never going to happen.

Agree away fans should be in the upper tier every other club that has an upper tier has done this so see no reason why we can't.

I think the kids should get an allocation...the future support.

I saw this meantioned somewhere else but can't remember where...I noticed last Saturday that there were 2/3 rows empty in this section. Anyone know why?

I don't know why they couldn't put the kids section upstairs tbh. The atmosphere upstairs is always shit and the upper tier always struggles to sell out. If you put a few blocks of £10 tickets up there, problem solved...

So the two blocks behind the away goal are now just for kids? Oh how the Clock End gently weeps...

I reckon that this enclosure is the best idea the club has had in years - giving the kids a chance to see football they'd otherwise be priced out of.

I'm sure most of us here can recall standing on the North Bank for a fiver...

are they next to the away fans ? - that could get a little naughty :rubchin:

the Arsenal Yoof should be next to the pitch where the atmosphere imho - thats what will make them come back, not being shoved upstairs with the prawners.

I was in block 26 on Saturday with my young lad. I was aware that the two blocks behind the goal were for the young guns and I thought they were great! If you think about it then not only are these guys going be the next generation of fans but they will also make a hell of a lot of noise and support with all their energy and enthusiasm . I reckon 2000 adolescent lads could give a lot of grief to away fans!! I bet they don't get the thirteen year old behind them telling then to sit down!!! I can't believe I am going to say this but for once - well done Arsenal! :barscarf:

This is hugely frustrating, I'm all for the club getting the kids in for cheap, get them hooked in the sort of business plan you'd normally associate with drug dealers but they already have a family enclosure for that. 6/7 blocks for kids that won't sell out that I now almost feel as though I'm subsidising by having to pay £15-£20 extra a game for my tickets. More than anything its not really fair on the rest of us.
