Merse has said: ‘’He [Ramsey] could be a £10 million signing away from leaving the club this summer. If Arsenal sign Cabaye, and I am a big fan of Ramsey, he’ll be the first to go.’’
What do we think of this? I can't imagine that, having recently signed a new long term contract, seen his form improve dramatically and also being praised so highly by Wenger, that Ramsey would be at risk if we were to sign Cabaye. Surely he would be more a replacement for Arteta if anyone.

Got to be Artetas replacement, would be very surprised if Ramsey left.Jonny_Gooner wrote:http://hereisthecity.com/2013/08/24/for ... o-go-if-c/

Mers talks some crap he talks before he thinks wenger has given Ramsey 3 contracts since he signed and has put a lot of faith in Ramsey where we thought let him go so why on earth would he let him go now .afcforever wrote:Got to be Artetas replacement, would be very surprised if Ramsey left.Jonny_Gooner wrote:http://hereisthecity.com/2013/08/24/for ... o-go-if-c/

But true we are talking about the madness of king wenger here.

A moot point I know, but if we were to sign a big powerful quality DM then would ramsey and arteta not be top of the queue to be dropped ? As a fan of both I wouldn't like to see either dropped for cabaye but would have no probs sacrificing either for a proper DM

As above I would think that it would most likely be Arteta that would be dropped. With the formation Wenger plays, in every game, there are always three in midfield, two of which tend to sit a little deeper. Cabaye would definitely be the most defensive minded midfielder we'd have, but I can't see Wenger dropping Ramsey anytime soon based on his current form.

I think Aliadiere might be after his 15 goals last season

Watching our performance in the transfer window is a bit like having a VIP pass for the Playboy mansion with added extras included only to find yourself going home with Bella Emberg
You start off with dreams of Higuain, Rooney, Suarez, Di Maria and Benzema
Before ending up with Sanogo, Flamini, Williams, Barry (on loan) and Michu

I'm still awaiting for the return of the next Robbie Fowler, Taco Vela

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
We started this window needing a CB a DM a striker and a GK. we have since seen Ramsey flourish, Giroud playing very well (in my view) and Podolski possibly positioning himself as the striker option.
We def need defensive reinforcements but Wenger seems to be firing the scattergun at every disenfranchised midfielder in UEFA. Now I think Mata is superb and would be a great get but we still need defensive reinforcements. I don't think Wenger actually plans his transfer windows - seems to wait for opportunity. Ps I thought Poldi and Giroud saved as at the cottage - Fulham actually controlled some long stretches of that match.
Also - if Poldi leaves then Wenger needs to be sacked - not only is he a talent but do you see his enjoyment? He loves it - what enthusiasm - give me 10 more of him instead of sulking or arrogant overpaid under performing wankers any day.

8 years of absolute negligence and you think Wenger needs to be sacked IF podolski leaves?
Wenger needs to go regardless!
