THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger agrees that 'marquee signings' have a role to play at a football club - but he says that spirit and values are even more important.
Has he forgotten to take his pills today?

Wanger's contempt for Arsenal fans knows no bounds! The man is a disgrace, negligent, stupid and arrogant beyond words. I don't think I have ever known anyone so up their own arse. He's a 'ham wallet' of the highest order!! 8)

Not a great lover of Wenger, but giving him this transfer window and season to turn things round.

That's all well and good, but there will be plenty of people that will say, after we fail this season, "Oh lets give him the next summer transfer window..." The circle will continue non-stop.

What are the chances you've said that for the past 3-4 years?

Isn't this the second game in a row that Mata is on the bench for Chelski? Come on Wenger go for him!

More delusional bullsh*t from the Dear Leader. If there's anyone doing the brainwashing, it's you, the only man in football who can't be sacked.

He's just insulting the fans again. We don't need journos telling us about Arsenal's problems. We can see them for ourselves.

By the board's own admission they have been lying to us for years, telling us that only now can we buy when for years they have been saying we can spend 30m+ on a player.

The lot of them have all told so many lies that they're tripping each other up by forgetting what they said the previous summer. Kroenke, the board, Wenger, Gazidis - *word censored*, the lot of em. Fuck them all off and let's start again.

Next year if he hasn't announced he's leaving there will be loads of people saying let's give him this window, there's no way he'll make the same mistakes he did last year.

so we only lost one game since March.

wasn't that cos by then we'd already been dumped out of the FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League, plus bested by 5 of the top 6 Arsene ?

the revisionism is fantastic. its like Bradford, Blackburn, and Schalke never happened. :banghead:

the guy is worse than Reagan. clearly has Alzheimers imho.

his plan to go unbeaten in 2014-2015 ? mass suicide on opening day, but his team will be remembered as going unbeaten :duh:

i'm just waiting til the January window when AW reminds us that he brought through Messi and Pele.... :censored:

Have a look at Arseblog today. American Arsenal fan explains the American sports owner model, version Kroenke.
Suggests he's delegated all football matters to Wenger and would back him to the hilt if AW said he wanted to make some big money signings. Has there ever been a manager with so much power?

I love the way that stat is rattled off as if we're on some sort of five month unbeaten run coming into the season - three of those fucking months there wasn't any football.

We played mid-table and relegation fodder for the other 2 months and the two games against holiday bound champions Man United and Europe chasing Everton were the ones we couldn't win

Honestly, we scraped over the line beating mostly wankers and he holds it up as some sort of modern day Invincibles achievement
