ROBERT PIRES

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The beginning of the end for our clown was the CL final when he had to make a split second decision when Lehmann was sent off and he took Bobby off and kept that :censored: Helb on

Wow I miss him, I would argue the football he played in 2001/02 was the best I've seen from an individual player. Absolutely brilliant player who had everything, let go far too soon. Can't believe he left after only being offered a one year contract but a year or two later and we give Silvestre a two/three year contact. Should have played for us many years after 2006.

Agree.
During that time until he got injured he was best in the world in my opinion.

Shits all over today's obsession with pace being the be all and end all for wide players.
