SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Bullshit bingo!
He had a huge desire to come back. He was available because he was out of contract and he's a quality player, and a focused player
Desire? Tick. Focus? Tick. Quality player? Tick.
It's a very important impact on the squad because he can cover many positions
Make do and mend.
He's a bit older but he's still only 29. The best years are in front of him now
Kinda ironic that you wouldn't give more than a one year contract to over 30s a few years back, that policy went out the door with Mikael Silvestre didn't it

Well that's 2 major summer signings. There's only 1 more. Sol Campbel?

We need a tough-tackling box-to box player...Flamini was that in 2008...is he still that now?

Offers cover at fullback too, no bad thing, but he was not a top level full back, just average, even though he helped us to that record clean sheet run in the Champions League as a left back.

If we really wanted to sign him what took so long to sort it?
He didn't have a club all summer and has been training with us.

Just think a few weeks ago I thought we might be getting cesc back...not flamini.

Glad we've signed Flamini.

He's just the sort of SQUAD player we need.

That leaves 4 days to improve the TEAM.

Because any player worth his salt doesn't want to come to a club whose sole ambition is 4th place, so Wenger is now struggling to get anyone, hence free transfers at the last minute.
All this about the transfer market "doesn't start until the last week" is bollocks. So Spurs, Man City,Chelsea and all the big sides around Europe haven't signed anyone this summer?????
We're now down to the last 3 days and still nothing because there aint no one.
This is it people..............More of the same this year
