SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We've apparently bid £8.5m for the bloke from St Etienne

Maybe we need a GIF of Marty McWenger going back in the DeLorean to before we fucked up the Higuain transfer and this time NOT low-ball Real Madrid and NOT walk away because we don't want to pay market value for a top class striker
What happened the gif? it was brilliant

Let me guess:

Excuse 1 - "We tried very hard but the clubs refused to sell to us"
Excuse 2 - "We only wanted to sign top top players but they were unavailable"
Excuse 3 - "There was a lack of quality in the market and we do not want to spend for the sake of it"
Excuse 4 - "We've signed two top class players and people forget that"
Excuse 5 - "Manchester United didn't sign any players either"
Excuse 6 - "Judge me in May"

This season is going to be a disaster but we just might beat Spurs on Sunday because their new players will need more time to bed in. Overall I cant see Arsenal winning anything. We wont get past the group stage in the champ league and a few more injuries and we will really struggle in the Prem.
On top of all that the measure of our ambition is to resign Flamini who was released from AC Milan because he is not good enough. Welcome to season 2013/2014. Just when you thought it could not get any worse. Mind you I hear it on good authority that we have purchased a new bin lid for the bin at the training ground and they are also considering a bid for a kettle.

Wenger on Bendtner: "The chance for him to leave now is very small. If he comes back well and gets fit, I will use him." :-(:-(:-(

Can someone please explain what this means ?

I don't think that prices are linked with (the) quality of players

So a 'player' who has publicly said that he doesn't want to play for us anymore, a 'player' that the complete and utter moron put on such a long lucrative contract that now we can now not get rid of him... You watch, if he ever did make an appearance for us the short memory fans over there will give him the same hero's welcome that they'll going to give to the other useless greedy *word censored*, Flamini.... You couldn't make this shit up! :banghead: :banghead:

More Wenger guff. I'm guessing he thinks the money you pay for a player (or not in his case) is not linked to the quality of said player.

What a wanker.
