I thought Giroud played brilliantly today....scored THE goal and was giving their defence/CB's a torrid time...and came back to help out when we were under pressure...really glad for him.

Their goalie was their best player...wish we had signed him we would have won by 4 goals at least!

Agreed. Awful tackle too - in a European game he'd have been sent off for that

To be honest I didn't notice him much. Ramsey was different class, Santi did great too......and here I will say it, Giroud was top man. Most courageous performance I've ever seen him give in the shirt - good goal but in that last 20 mins where he could barely walk he was chucking himself around at the back and the only player we had to soak up a bit of the pressure. Easily his best game for us
Well said Steve. Have to take my hat off to you and say well done for saying that. would almost buy you a beer if we ever met.

Absolutely agree - Giroud was fucked for the last 15 (could barely run) but he put in a hell of a shift today. Also took his goal very well and although he's still too wasteful (remember one opportunity where he was slipped in but poor touch meant he could only win a corner and another where he overhit a fairly easy through ball) his hold-up play was better than it has been for ages and he was a lot more lively than usual.

Thought Cazorla was flagging too in the last half hour or so but had a good game also - Rosicky wasn't bad but I was hoping for a bigger performance as he's started the season well and imo it was the type of game where he could have run riot.

I thought we broke down their midfield play efficiently and also did very well turning it quickly into attack - although unfortunately we couldn't do enough with the ball to capitalise.

It's probably all been said already but Giroud excellent,Rambo after a shaky start did well,Santi was Santi but he did run himself into the ground and the inexperienced bench didn't help.

2nd half the 2 best players one the pitch were Flamini and their Keeper. Ches only made one meaningful save, but the chances wasted to bury these verminous scum shows why we need a f**kng goal scorer Arsene. Ozil is fine but he won't get you 20-25 a season.

This league is average, a few decent players and we could challenge properly..AFTER xmas not the usual fade away once the clocks go back.

Keeper...not the Almunia lookalike
Defender offer AC Milan some cash pretty sure they were supposed to be open to selling one of their versatile defenders
Striker, lord knows where you'll get one from at this time of the window....just so long as it isn't Michu. I'm willing to bet he won't get more than 10 goals this season.

Is it me or was Soldado even less mobile and more lazy than Giroud was when he first joined us. His movement off the ball was average at best. The vermin will eventually gel but think it'll take a few defeats to find their rhythm and looks like Capoue's out for a while... F**k em, this should stop all that title contenders crap

well we did show up today didn't we? great defending all around and what a display of heart by giroud, he ran his hole off today. I really liked Flamsters consistent organizing and shouting, he's a natural leader and a decend midfield enforcer, tbh i expected much less of him after some rather dull years at AC Milan

Am not a regular poster but had to post...am over the moon after this result.
Didn't expect us to win...a draw at best. Maybe believed all the media hype about the Spuds.

Still, just one question for our fearless leader...what if Giroud now gets injured ????

And if Le Postman gets injured?

It's time for......

.....our new signing, seen here with his sister, presented to the empty stadium four hours before the game by ex-player Nigel Winterburn.

But of course...guess I can rest easy, knowing that we have already added exceptional quality to our squad.

It was confirmed on real official page a few minutes ago. Done deal, monkey to Spain.
mmmm do they have strict quarantine laws about the importation of exotic pets ?

Augie I wrote that when I was rather elated and pissed ,and I fully accept u didnt say u wanted us to lose either for that I humbly apologise ,however the other fella did .
You are however a very negative old git and i see u did a volte face on flamini which is nice because his coming on saved the game for me , as we had shape and steel from the moment he appreared .
Lastly Augie u wont find a post from me glorifying or revelling in violent behaviour but your welcome to try and find one.

My heads nipping this morning !
