Maybe I am being greedy but it seems that the ozil deal is done so can we move on now and focus our attention elsewhere ? 90% of the posts today seem to be all about ozil (he signed/is close to signing/he is doing his medical/ he has passed his medical ) and because I feel the need for more signings, I feel that this ozil deal seems to be enough to please many Gooners and they are taking their eye off the ball to focus on the one glamour signing

Have to agree with a couple of other posters that if we do eventually sign Ozil then the price does seem a bit steep, and if that is the only super quality signing we make then Wenger has once again failed to do what is required. Still think theres a chance of this fucking up yet again and we wont sign him!

What a fucking world class bit of business! I am genuinely buzzing about this. This is exactly what we've been calling on the club to do and still there are people fucking moaning. 200k a week? We've easily saved that and then some on wages through the utter dross we've got rid of this window. Fat boy arshavin and the forehead between must of been about 170k a week, I'd take ozil over those two jokers any day of the week. Ozil will bring in far more revenue to the club through merchandising and renewed interest in club level tickets then having 4 Bendtner's stinking out the place will ever manage.

Now I'm hearing the usual mob of Arsenal haters are trotting out guff about him not being the 'type' of player we need. Anyone who watched us in the big games last season knows we were lacking a top quality attacking spark. Cazorla is class but seemed to fade at times last season, wilshere is injury plagued and lacking end product at this stage of his career.

I'd still like to see a striker come in and if we can get both of those deals done then I'm a happy camper

I'm happy with chesney as our number 1. Tbh it had completely slipped my mind that mannone had left so I guess we need another back up which has just been confirmed

Have to laugh at people saying Ozil is too much at 42. This guy is rated by most in the top 20 to 30 players in the WORLD. Arguably hes even better than that. And hes 24. Far rather 40 on him than Suarez. Great business.

£42m is a very fair price. The bloke is world class and has phenomenal experience for a 24-year old. He's been superb for Madrid and it says a hell of a lot that their impatient fans who were happy to see the back of Higuain and would also wave Benzema off along with several other quality players are extremely gutted to be losing him. His stats at Madrid and Germany over the last few years in terms of assists etc are phenomenal and every time I've watched him he's oozed class.
