I still think radamel falcao will look for a way out of Monaco in january, when they are not in the top 4, and playing in front of 10,000 fans. Reading his wikipedia page (i know not the most reliable), but he is quoted he wanted to go to monaco as Henry is his idol. I reckon if we go in for him he will jump ship, especially if the Principality loses its tax haven status and we are still in the champions league.

he had his chance, he missed 3-4 sitters a game...

he's failed at what, 4 clubs now ?

the guy works hard, has good positioning but he mentally can't score, he shits it when he has time to think.

they will be challenging for the title i reckon. might even be top then. so why would they risk weakening themselves ?
No I cannot agree, they will be well out of it by then IMHO. I don't get all the Liverpool hype doing the rounds. By January he could be only too glad to get out. Sakho is the only real quality they bought.

Challenging for the title????? A club who has finished 10 or more points off the 4th placed trophy for the last few seasons. The signings they've made are nowhere near enough to put them within touching distance of the title - realistic progress would be lasting the pace in the battle to finish 4th.

Yes if they have a chance of challenging for the title (they don't by the way) then surely we do as well (no, we don't either)

Aim higher. We've got Özil now, we can attract anyone. 8)
Now we have Ozil we may be a chance with ElShar - I think he's a superstar in the making.
Ps loving Cesc's surprise at Ozil joining us. Too late son - we've got better than you ha ha
Too late? I don't think Cesc was planning on rejoining us. And I'm not sure Ozil is better than Cesc.
No he wasnt but he probably will be taking a ken interest. BTW Ozil us better.

We could get El Shaarawy without having Özil as an attraction.
We should have.

Each to their own but I don't think anyone would be saying that if we had signed Cesc instead of Ozil.

Bit of an exaggeration RG given their respective performances over the last 3 years. Fabregas had a shit final season with us and whilst he's hardly been a flop at Barca it's fair to say he hasn't lived up to expectations there. By contrast Ozil has been virtually ever-present (racking up 159 appearances) over the last 3 years and is almost universally regarded by everyone except Ancelotti to be the key playmaking cog in that Madrid team.

Why compare them?Ozil has more assists Cesc will score you more goals. They are both great players end of.The reason why Cesc hasnt been a massive success at Barca is simple Iniesta and Xavi two of the greatest midfield players ever. But 29 goals and 37 assist in 100 games is nothing to be ashamed of.Lets be glad they both played for us

Agree 100%. Two of the finest playmakers of their generation and both play/have played for us. 8)
