International football

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

England are so poor it's embarrassing.

If Kyle Walker is the best RB England and the scum can muster then they are both f**ked down their right flanks this season and for the WC in Brazil, if they get there which on this showing is not guaranteed.

Rosicky was subbed after just 38mins following a challenge, only got Yahoo text commentary so don't know if it's precautionary or yet another injury for us.

Nasty Achilles challenge on Walcott, the way he's limping, I'd say he's out of the Sunderland game.

BFG and Marty Feldman Jnr got goals for Germany.

No other injuries for our lot so far..fingers X'd it stays that way.

The usual suspects are saying how much more different if we had Carrick/Rooney/, blah, blah, blah and a big YAWN.

That big eared tw*t Lineker has it right, why do they put on an England shirt and become instantly sh*te.

Walnutt put in one of those performances that we know and hate, Jack looked well short of everything, pace passing etc

Lampard,Gerrard giving the ball away like it was pass the f**king parcel. Milner nuff said.Their best player were A**e Cole,Cahill and Jagielka. Would have included Hart but his kicking is as erratic as Chesney's.

But Walker was f**king awful.

Konplianka went past him as and when he pleased.

They are better off not going to the WC because they will stink the place out with Hodgson's route one sh*te.

Thought Feo was utterly dreadful tonight. One of those performances that makes you think how the fuck did he make it as a professional footballer.

It seems every time England have a pressure game no one, and I mean no one remembers how to pass the ball to a team mate. They were all shocking. Theo was still our most dangerous player and he wasn't the best but not as bad as Ashley Young, seriously was he the first player to have a negative pass success percentage. SHOCKING!!!

Didnt see as much as a minute of the Irish game last night but I did see most of the verbal ruck between brady and dunphy - I thought at one stage that they were literally going to come to blows  Over here brady has done himself no favours by becoming so associated with defending his old buddie trap, that even when he is being critical that useless clogger from milwall cant see it  Brady is right that the squad of players available to any Ireland manager is fairly poor (as you might expect from a country of our size) but that being said, traps treatment of some players and his inability to be flexible with team selection and tactics, has been a disgrace :x

Over here now they have martin o'neill even money favourite to be the next manager......personally I wouldnt want him :x The man had the job offered to him a few years ago but turned it down cos he wanted the english job.....he is Irish ffs :x Can you imagine an englishman turning down the english managers job cos he wants to go manage another country ? O'neill thought that he was too good to manage little old Ireland and now his star has dropped out of the sky, he is interested in taking the job ? Go fcuk yourself you w**ker - you aint using our job to put yourself in the shop window cos as sure as night follows day he would fcuk off as soon as some average shithole prem club came knocking on his door

I think if I had my way I'd probably ban the Interlull. The football is so fucking bad in most games. The big money is in club football and the clubs now rule the roost so most players don't really give much of a shit about their Interlull team. They say all the right things, they drag out all the old soundbites and do the photoshoots but they don't really give a shit. It's nice to have a few caps on the old CV and that's about the limit of their ambition.

Ingerland have the usual problem; media tell them they are the best in the world then decide "fuck it that's boring now" and then slate them off so that the players are nervous as fuck and don't perform. Of course that's not all that's wrong with your team but it is an element.

Oireland are just total shite. End of. Shite players and a shite has-been manager with a footballing mindset entrenched in the appalling borefest that was 1980's Italian club football. I was footy training last night so only got in just before 9pm and switched it on. 60th minute or so, and there's our keeper timewasting. 0-0 with half an hour left and he's time wasting.   Fucking pathetic. What's the point? Maybe scrape through and then get raped 4-0 by every decent side you meet?

And now these FIFA bastards are talking about moving the Qatar world cup to winter and fucking over the PL season? I'd be happier if they just scrapped the big old piece of shit that the world cup (and Interlull football in general) has become.

I agree that international football is by and large shit but should it be that way ? Havent we all bemoaned at the fact that our game is so money orientated ? Shouldnt this be one of the ways to curb that ? I think when we were younger we all dreamed of playing for our country but now the power of the clubs has usurped international football and the honour that comes with representing your country :( I will say though, that playing for your country is still hugely valued in countries like germany, spain and italy so this apathy to international football isnt all across the board but over this side of europe money and attitudes have killed international football. Like much of the ill's of the current game, the origins of this problem can be traced back to ferguscum and his arrogant shithole club - once he was allowed to withdraw the likes of giggs and scumbag keane from certain international games, the precedent was set and the pattern of club power is more powerful than ever now.

Ireland may not be world beaters but they are certainly miles better than they are showing and have some good footballers if used properly and in compatible tactical systems. Being an Irish footie fan though, must be a whole lot better than being an english footie fan - it really is shocking that a country that has been blessed with so many top quality footballers over the years, hasnt achieved more - people can make excuses about problems with grassroots football etc but that shouldnt disguise the continual underperformance of a big footballing nation
