THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

the rest of this season will hurt people like you the most. prepare for a hurricane of shite :(
Well, I really hope so! But then again, I have gotten my hopes up and finally crashing down too many times to be really hoping too much now. As much I liked to believe that things might finally turn for better now but I don't believe that anymore so long as wenker is still around. Özil signing was absolutely fantastic but in the end, one man can't make the difference. If that happens though, it would be very positive surprise.
I know it will probably end in a shower of shit as usual but for the first time in almost a year the pain has eased, for a time at least, its like when the girl you love and cant do with out agrees to not dump you but you know its only a matter of time till it does happen,if kidding yourself helps ease the suffering then Wenker has delivered a shed load of medicine,i know it will end in tears though but heres to pretending!!! :barscarf:

If you were to put a gun to my head today and ask me if he will still be manager post June '14 I would say no. That's a seismic shift in my thinking over the past 12 months. I'm in a good head space my friend and there's no way I'm going to let you drag me down.

Ignorance is bliss :barscarf:
I get the feeling our old mate Rodders will be putting a gun to his own head in late June 2014. :(

They were a title winning team, just they were too drunk to challenge for the title but could pull it out the bag for the cups. :D :barscarf:

Wanger will be off, otherwise he would sign on the dotted line for 8m a year right now. He'll end up in 5th place and you won't see him for dust.

Wenger loves the word "handbrake":

"I watched the French team and it was a bit the same. How can it happen? You have all these players – he plays at Bayern, he plays at Real Madrid, he plays at Arsenal, the other one at Paris Saint-Germain... You put them all together and nothing happens. It is a mystery. For me when they get there everyone is a bit handbreaky."

I think it's because SteveO is frightened in case someone 'croaks' while eating their food!!! :-P

Mind you, it would make it easier to tell any uninvited guests to 'hop it'!!

He joined a team containing Seaman, Bould, Adams, Winterburn, Dixon, Merson...all title winners. So strictly speaking, he joined a title winning team.
