I didn't know you were a Mod chippy! DB10 said you were apprentice to Hlebby, and so we all thought you were learning how to skin up! :D :-P

Seriously though nutflash - Just because people are doubter's or AKB's doesn't mean they are a lesser Gooner than anyone else...I used to think if someone still believed in AW then they were not only a rose tinted AKB but MUST BE stupid, but that's not necessarly true...we all have our opinions and if you think someone is a 'whatever' then rather than put it in print why not do a little picture...so if someone calls someone else wants to call someone a right sausage or a cream cake they could do this

And not only is it less offensive - well maybe!? - But it is more colourful and perhaps artistic !

Unless of course they eally are a "************" then you might need to find an image of that!

just a suggestion.... :D

The real test for this very thin squad will be in November/December when we are playing twice a week in the rain and cold, with runs of games like Scousers H, Dortmund A, Yahnited A, and December is even worse. If by some fluke all the key players stay fit, surely they cannot play all of those games.

We've had a good little run of 5 games. I might start believing if we hit 15.

The only strengthening of the team has been Ozil, in a position we've been traditionally strong in. All the other areas are either the same as last year or even weaker.
I assume you are a mod?

moderator
Pronunciation: /ˈmɒdəreɪtə/

noun

1an arbitrator or mediator:
-Egypt managed to assert its role as a regional moderator
- a presiding officer, especially a chairman of a debate:
-the debates will each feature one moderator and a panel of three questioners
-a Presbyterian minister presiding over an ecclesiastical body:
- the newly elected Moderator of the Dutch Reformed Church

2 British a person who reviews examination papers to ensure consistency, or otherwise oversees an examination:
after marking by the tutor, the papers are returned to a moderator

3a person who moderates an Internet forum or online discussion.

4 Physics a substance used in a nuclear reactor to retard neutrons:
in a fast reactor there is no moderator to slow the reaction down

Just thought I would give you a dictionary definition as you seem to have ignored what prompted my response. If there is a clique for regs on this forum, you don't need to ban. All I am trying to say is have a balanced view and the doubters are no better than the AKB's.

I called you a twat - I think that you called the previous poster a twat so I don't think indignation or the moral high ground is the right stance you should take right now.

The first person to resort to personal abuse was nut flush, calling me a twat. He then followed it up with morons. If Augie had carried on using the insults I would have warned (not threatened) him too. Considering what we allow on here bannings are very rare and we'd like to keep it that way.

Just occurred to me that I should explain about the banning thing too. Since the new site, we mods have had the ability to issue short term bans, 1 hour, 1 day, etc to allow people to cool off. This proved very useful during some of the darker moments of last season 8) . That is what I am talking about.

Permanent bans are extremely rare.

Love and Peace guys we are top of the league for now anyway. Players to come back Chelsea losing and United not looking as strong. Even RVP seems to have lost his magic touch so lets just enjoy Ozil and the totally unreal form that Ramsey is showing. I love those kind of surprises. Thought he was finished how wrong I was.

"All power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely"

So in response to your previous answer, so it's alright to call posters twats as long as it's a response to that individuals initial insult :rubchin:

From what I read both posters were suggesting "groups" of people were twats ("twats like you" the phrases used I believe) unless I misread it, this too is ok even though no other individuals of these said groups were involved or initiated any such insult.....

Just want to be clear :barscarf:

Quite amusing that Wenger gets absolute dogs abuse on here from hardcore WOBbers, way above and beyond any decent criticism that the guy deserves, yet it's someone calling someone else a "twat" that gets the attention, lulz

Yeah, you've caught me. Augie is my love child, from one of my many trips to Ireland, so I give him extra special treatment. Like I said I would have warned him too if he'd carried on. I have done in the past and I think I once gave him one of the short term bans.

A number of people have been banned (some permanently) for over the top abuse of AW. Things have quietened down a bit on that front compared to a couple of years ago when the site was shut down, but it is still difficult to mod stuff like that, trying to keep the criticism of him within reason without becoming Pravda.com.

Mehh its ok to use the word arsehole wenker, or lord wanker that isn't an insult is it. This forum is full of cliques and until they are sorted out you wont encourage new gooners to join.

If you don't agree with the consensus you are deemed an outsider, as I said I am angry with Wenger to allow things to slip like this but there is just a chink of light at the end of the tunnel and we as fans should get behind the team no matter who is at the helm, this is something that doesn't happen enough. Arsenal fans are an embarasment, i've been to st james park loads of times in the last 20 years and their fans put us to shame even when though most of the time their team is a load of shite.

I really don't know why some people get so up themselves on here - I used the word "twat" to respond to the previous comment calling another poster a twat mainly cos I don't agree with name calling on here and I was basically turning it back on nut flush Gooner to see how he feels about being called a twat. I meant no offence and didn't intend to turn this into some sort of bullshit innuendo argument about clique's (btw chippy has shot me down more frequently in debates on here recently than anybody else except lefty so I am far from his love child  ). For the record I have no real issue with being called a twat or moron cos I acknowledge that sometimes (rarely mind  ) I do behave like a twat or moron and I am not the type of person that feels that they are above criticism. What I do feel however, is that there is no need to delve into the name calling just cos you don't agree with somebody else's opinion and it is absolutely incorrect to blame akb's for the shite atmosphere at the bowl.

If it helps some of you to move on from this then I will offer my apologies for my part in this

LOL have you actually been to st james park ?? The atmosphere isn't created in internet forums ffs.

One of the best atmospheres I have ever experienced in a modern day ground was our FA cup game vs the geordies the week after DB10 scored that goal. We took 5000 gooners up for the match with the bigger cup allocation and it was absolutely buzzing in both our end and theirs.
