Why would you play giroud tonight if there is any doubt about his fitness ? Not overstating his ability here but due to a lack of genuine alternatives wouldnt you think that he is extremely important to us and he cannot be played when doubtful and risk making the injury worse. For me the stoke game is of far higher importance (champs league pretty low on my priority list) especially when you factor in the big neanderthal c**ts that they will have playing :x

I initially thought we might either draw or win this...even with Giroud & Ozil being available, BUT...I have noticed over the past 5 - 6 seasons that when whichever English teams play their CL games Tuesday/the night before the other Englush teams play theirs (Wednesday nights)...the results are nearly always go the other way...so had manure & $hitty lost last night I would feel far more confident of us getting a positive result tonight....both of them had wins by decent score margins....so I'm wondering what's gonna happen tonight....

I mean the Football Gods are NOT to be messed with.... :?

Fuck the CL. Rest Giroud. We have one fit proper goal scoring striker. Rest him or we will draw, maybe even lose, against The Orcs. :|

Wow, who'd have thought having a thread bare squad could impact on your season, huh? :fryingpan:

Totally agree DB10!

We will pocket the £25m just for being in the Champions League proper anyway, so the job is already done in the Boards mind.

I would rest Giroud AND Ozil for tonights game to keep them fresh for the match against Scrote City on Sunday. IMHO, those 3 points against Scrote are more important than tonights game. :barscarf:

yup. Giroud and Ozil should be on the Bench at the most. it doesn't make sense to risk Giroud and lose him for Saturday and possibly beyond.

especially when we know we're not going anywhere in the CL. the Prem league is a marathon not a sprint. that should be our priority tonight.

we've done this before with Jack, and they just break down after 2-3 games.

Agree, why take a risk?

Use Akpom.
He looked bright on the pre-season tour.
A draw in Marseille would be OK.

Please Arsene, just don't play play Ozil or Giroud. The CL is way out of our reach so I wouldn't bother, and just go for the PL.
