Re: Walcott surgery
Walcott'll probably contract some infection that was eradicated in 1794 once he gets back to our medical facilities. I know he polarises opinions on here but he is an important player and we could do with him fit.
Miyaichi looks like a strong wind would snap him in two so looks like Gnabry will grab a few games, hope he does well.

I think I ruled myself out of contention the minute I booked the Away Boyz for the BBQ....QuartzGooner wrote:And it's virtually neck and neck for the Online Gooner Grumpy Old Men Trophy, perennial contender Augie just about edging ahead of the bookies' favourite GoonerSid, but it's a marathon not a sprint, and the season has barely started.augie wrote:Expect a new series of "best sellers" to be on the shelves for xmas

Re: Walcott surgery
It is unfortunate but it happens in football. We had similar with our full backs a while ago, all of them were out at the same time and we had Ramsey playing RB. When you have a week squad, you live on the edge like this unfortunately.g88ner wrote:This is insane... 5 games into the season and 5 of our most obvious wide players, Theo, Cazorla, Rosicky, Chamberlain and Podolski, are injured at the same timethat's desperately unlucky.

Sorry but Sid fell at the first hurdle by posting a couple of optimistic posts at the beginning of the season!QuartzGooner wrote:And it's virtually neck and neck for the Online Gooner Grumpy Old Men Trophy, perennial contender Augie just about edging ahead of the bookies' favourite GoonerSid, but it's a marathon not a sprint, and the season has barely started.augie wrote:Expect a new series of "best sellers" to be on the shelves for xmas

To be honest the Self Harmer will get everything he deserves if Le Chapman now picks up a knock or suspension. The flippant Wengerites (yes Dad that's you) calmly pointed out that Walcott could easily play up front in that eventuality but even he is now injured along with Postman Pat......so we really are down to the King of Denmark and Akpom.
A man we tried desperately to farm out to Eintracht, Palace and Hull could be leading our forward line in the coming weeks.
The imbalance in the squad is an absolute embarrassment.

After last nights performance, I feel that was the correct physiological response!OneBardGooner wrote:TurnipMasher wrote:Exactly. Daily Fail links Theo to a move to Monaco for £34M.
Sounds like paper talk.

I'm a fan of Theo but if we are being offered £34m for him, we'd have to think about that offer.QuartzGooner wrote:Daily Fail links Theo to a move to Monaco for £34M.

I like Theo, but for 34m.... Goodbye Theo, hello Robert
Also Gnabry is on a good path to be Theo's replacement in a few years.

Absolutely - I would throw a party that would make Steve o's BBQ look like a Tupperware party
