As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
A great player, a great finisher and a great club man but a man who went missing in every cup final he ever played for us. I will also never forgive him for his treatment of reyes when he was with us

Are you for real.
That is one of the most idiotic comments ive ever read on this board.........and that's saying something.

I thought he treated him ok? Didn't he ask Reyes who would give him all his assits when he left us?
A genius, a legend and an entertainer. Bergkamp was also a genius for sure, but Henry is the man IMO. Electrifying pace, tried things nobody else would dare to do, lived and breathed Arsenal and to an extent still does, club record goalscorer, destroyed defences all over Europe. There was nothing he couldn't do, and if we had a striker even half as good as Henry in our team we'd be a lot better off than we are now. With Henry in the team at Highbury, even at 1-0 down and 85 minutes gone we'd feel we could turn it around in the blink of an eye. A greater player has never graced the Premier League.

A great player, one of football's all time greats.
Best player the club has ever had.
Agile, extremely fast, technically skilled, incredible vision, great touch, superb passer and creator, and excellent finisher.
Tracked back more often than one would expect from a striker, and could tackle too.
Usually positive and warm, with a dash of chutzpah.
But had his moments!
Could be a diva.
Acutely aware of his own self worth and form, he knew he had to move to Spain when his pace started declining.
On the pitch did little to encourage Reyes; sitting in the West Lower and watching those scowls of Henry's in Reyes's direction will stay with me forever.
How much of that was a result of the Reyes/Aragones incident I can not be sure?
TH14 was being interviewed on TV when my wife started talking to me. For the first time ever, I sssshhhh'd her She said "you fancy him don't you". I replied "Don't be ridiculous, of course I don't fancy him. I love him!".

I can forgive him his cup final misses for that goal against the Dwellers where he ran past half their team and then ran back to celebrate in front of their fans.

Great goal but should have passed to Bergkamp
same as away v Inter should have passed to Pires who was unmarked
Henry was fantastic but for me Bergkamp was a true genius. Have to agree with augie though; Henry bottled every final he played in for us. I still awake at night screaming about those 2 one on ones in Paris. Not being negative, Henry was an amazing gifted player and is an Arsenal legend that still bleeds red and white, but he wasn't perfect.
