Also couldnt you call plenty of players money grabbers, as the majority of players make moves, that improve their bank account.

He joined milan for the money pure and simple - he had plenty of offers at that time but went to milan for the money even though he was always going to be a back up to the midfield general that was rino gattuso. I have no probs with the club telling him that he had to earn his new contract back then (something that he had failed to do up to that point) and I have no probs with him sticking 2 fingers up to the club and deciding to go elsewhere but from there he decided to join the club where he was going to be paid the most rather than go somewhere that would allow him to be a regular and continue to develop a career for himself. Lets be honest, if milan had of offered him enough €€€€ in the summer then he wouldnt be back with us

When Diarra - an established international and far superior player - left the club dissatisifed that Lord Wenger broke his promises about his role he was 'trouble', but when this overrated cock ran his contract down and fucked off after 1 half decent season that was perfectly fine

Yes and Diarra has gone on and had such a wonderful career.

I seem to remember a £20m move to Madrid and now earning a fortune at Anzhi........where as the Flamster was in such high demand after he left us wasn't he ?

So he earned big money at Anzhi, so what, has no relevance to actually what he has done on the pitch.

At Locomative Moscow now.........yeah Arsenal missed out big time with him.

Flamini left Arsenal and went to AC Milan, hardly a tinpot club.

Sorry Steve, but I fail to see what Flamini did that was wrong?

His form and hence his worth increased during his last season with us, we had yet to extend his contract because quite frankly, he was very average until his last season.

We chose to pay Adebayor high wages rather than Flamini.
We made the wrong decision, easy to say in hindsight though.
Adebayor had got 30 goals for us.
But I credit the Forum's own Augie, who said all along that Adebayor was a one season wonder.

Diarra was a good player, not a great one.
He was trouble, so we go rid of him for a profit.

Personally I would have hoped Diarra could have been calmed down and used in a tackling midfield role, but it did not happen.

SteveO, as much as I'm pissed off with Flamini being welcomed back with open arms by Wenger, I do think he contributed far more during his first stint at the club than Diarra.

No idea how Diarra came to be compared to Flamini. If this was 2007 there is no way on earth this would even be close to a topic of discussion.

There was one challenge that Charlie Adam didn't particularly enjoy (was slightly two footed I think). Good to see the shoe on the other foot for a change.
While on one hand there is something pleasant about somebody who's willing to nail Scum and Stoke players, that's two completely needless red cards Flamini could have had already. Unless he engages his brain when tackling he's a red card waiting to happen.
Flamini has never been sent off for us!

Which is an amazing stat considering that he was a regular starter for a whole half a season for us before leaving for the money
flamini started 103 games for us before he left

I stated that he was only a REGULAR STARTER for half a season cos before that he was a back up player only and I stand by that 100%

I Was calling for a resigning of this fella 2 seasons ago and got roundly slagged off by a number on this site.

He is exactly what we need.

Unspectacular, efficient, full blooded, passionate and organisational.

He is what we have lacked for the past 5 seasons and is fundamental to our success.

We overlooked his potential last time round but are lucky enough to have a second chance.

Highly Flammable is a treasure.

Appreciate.

There is no argument.

This guy is pure passion.More than the rest of the team put together.

If you guys don't appreciate what a true worker we,ve got then you are blind and thick!!

Our defence looks good now due to this guy giving it a screen. He allows players like Ozil freedom to attack.

Without Flammable we would be where we were last season. Inconsistent.

Flamini over Felaini any day of the week.

Come on you Gooners.

Agreed Step the bloke is quality and it shouldn't be too long until he's back in the international reckoning with France.
