Napoli at home
Re: Napoli at home
They haven't lost in Serie A yet...it will be difficult to us...but I presume 2-0 and we finally won't lose a goal

Re: Napoli at home
Have to admit, our recent good run and the indifferent form of others has re-ignited my interest in the pl, but I still can't drum up any passion for this competition and would be unlikely to unless we reached the semis.

Re: Napoli at home
I hear what you're saying, but Hamsik, Inler, Insigne? Come on. They're good players, but they're not great players. I'd rather have Ramsey, Ozil and Wilshere than those three. Pandev is average at best, certainly no better than Giroud. Reina and Albiol? Again, Reina was a quality keeper about five seasons ago. Albiol is nothing special either. They're decent players, no more than that.officepest wrote:Completely agree with '89, Napoli are a very good side and if we beat them I will be extremely pleased. We have finally got a rock hard group and any two could qualify so I wouldn't dismiss Napoli as average until we've played all our group games.1989 wrote:You couldn't be more wrong. Apart from Higgy they've got the likes of Hamsik, Inler, Insigne, Zuniga, Mertens, Reina, Albiol and Pandev. They beat Dortmund in the first round and are top of their league. If you think they're a walkover you're in for a shock.worthing_gooner wrote:Everyone talking about Napoli like they're world beatersThey're an average team with a world class striker who have made a decent start to their season. Their defence is absolute dross and to be honest, if we can't beat Napoli at home then we shouldn't be in the Champions League.
Don't get me wrong, they're not a walkover or a load of dross but I just find it funny everyone is bigging them up and in some instances almost writing us off altogether. All I'm saying is personally I don't feel we have anything to fear and this is a game I'd be disappointed to lose at home.
Other than Higuain, there's no player in their starting XI which would make a massive difference to our team. You'd think they had Messi, Neymar, Xavi and Iniesta the way people are raving about them.

Re: Napoli at home
Higgy picked up "a strain". Any updates on this? I think he'll score if he plays but I reckon we might give them a good old prison style gang fucking 4 nil if he doesn't. Or maybe draw 1-1.
Nah - still going with either 2-1 to us or 2-2.

Re: Napoli at home
If we bought another three world class players, we still wouldnt be anywhere near the level of Barca, Bayern or RM, so probably another last 16/QTR final exit awaits.

I am going with a sneaky 2-1 win tonight - Giroud, Ramsey.

Probably, but the Chavs somehow (fight, organisation and luck) beat superior Barca and Bayern teams.BFG4 wrote:If we bought another three world class players, we still wouldnt be anywhere near the level of Barca, Bayern or RM, so probably another last 16/QTR final exit awaits.
If you can get to the semis you've got a chance.

I'm going for 3-2 to Napoli with Higgy scoring a hat-trick.

Cant ITV just leave Celtic to the Scottish TV stations, sorry to offend and I know they have beaten Barca but really surely the Napoli match is a better seller for adverts if nothing else

At least we can see what weve missed with Cesc

He delayed the Napoli move until it became obvious that Arsenal & Real weren't going to agree to a higher priced deal. Big shame as I really would've loved to have seen him and Özil join. Nah - still going with either 2-1 to us or 2-2., wish he had come to us, he is likely to either have a blinder or a major mess up.

I don't believe we would go for Özil if we signed Higuain for 30m. Not Wenger.officepest wrote:He delayed the Napoli move until it became obvious that Arsenal & Real weren't going to agree to a higher priced deal. So I rather see us having a master of making chances, rather than another one who can take it but without anyone to make it

2-1 today.

Wilshere out which will please Sid and everyone else claiming that there is no more overrated player in English football
