Giroud does need a rest but to rest him against a team that thrives on aerial attacks and set pieces like the baggies do, would be total lunacy imo. The game against norwich at home would probably be the best time to rest him (assuming he dont get inj between now and then).

As for this game, the manager has a conundrum - should he picked the same players that have been playing so well together or should he rest some and risk disrupting the flow of the team ? Personally I would go with the same as last night except that I would start gnarby instead of rosicky who looked off the pace tbh.

A 2-2 draw lies ahead imo

Rosicky got better in the second half but its nice to have such a selections issue for a change ,Giroud has to start !

He has to play Giroud. Strikers work on confidence as much as anything and whilst Giroud is scoring he has to play. Norwich at home would be the game I'd rest him if he really really needed it. Also ease off on his training a bit too between games, give him more recovery time.

I'd start with more or less the same 11 as last night but agree with augie on replacing Rosicky with Gnabry, bringing Rosicky on late if we are 2 or 3 up. Rosicky was ropey last night and needs to ease back in because he is an excellent player when fully fit. But Gnabry was the difference for me in the 4-5-1 snoozefest last Saturday; he took responsibility and ran at them. His confidence will be up after scoring.

I wouldn't overestimate WBA because of the OT win. Manure are shite at the moment with a small club manager waaaaay out of his depth. WBA are beatable, not slouch's but quite beatable.

2-1 to The Arsenal.

The ideal scenario would be start with Giraud and take him off after an hour when we're 3-0 up (am I getting too confident?).
I too would start Gnabry. Cementing him as a first team player will help him and us. Nice to finally see some academy players threatening to warrant a starting place.

Giroud is also one of those players that not nly wants to play every game but needs to...even when the choice between a much needed rest and the desire to play a game regardless is there...which is why it is paramount we sign another Class Striker in January.

ps: edit: the baggies will be no pushovers...we have to start better than we did against the jackbarstewards...more like we did last night (Napoli) would be more than welcome...But they are very well organised defensively and have good pace on counter-attacks...

We should beat them...we MUST! :? :barscarf:

If they couldn't beat the youngsters, then we should walk this, easily. No excuses not to screw up.

3-0, Ozil, Ramsey and Giroud.

I still don't feel confident enough to predict an easy win, waiting for the wheels to come off any time soon, then I can get back to the reassuring feeling of apathy.

I am coming up the M5 . first time at the hawthorns. where is the best place to park?. earlier poster said a 2 mile Q coming off the M5 at the CC game. mind you nearly twice as many away fans. any help from more seasoned travellers appreciated.
Has to start with the same team surely keep the pressure up , wont be easy though. the confidence of the whole 1st team must be up after that win last night.
Agree with Gnarby though, AW must have said something to him at swansea half time because in the second half he really had a go at the swans defence.
should be a good game cant wait
