I remember Eriksson getting slated for getting us into three quarter finals in succession because he supposedly wasn't banging the table at half time in the 2002 World Cup QF against Brazil, and because we couldn't take penalties properly against Portugal.
Since then we've done away with Johnny Foreigner once......then asked for Johnny Foreigner to return......then kicked him out again......and where are we now? Any better than quarter finalists......nope worse.
Its simple, our players aren't good enough and it will take years to make them anywhere near as technically gifted as the likes of the Brazilians, Spanish and Argentinians
