DB10 wants to return to AFC!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

For once I agree with Augie ,Arsenal have very few coaches of any note and as Auguie says Bouldie got undermined big time in his first year and has now resorted to keeping his gob shut and trousering the cash like Rice before him .
If you look at the quality of the coaching staff its dire !
Boro is wengers enforcer and the real number 2 . Bould is nothing more than a figurehead to keep the fans happy .
Banfield is mainly a yoof person and Peyton is quite obviously not as good as the former incumbent who was cruely sacked by Wenger, yes folks Wenger booted the staunch Arsenal for life Bob Wilson.
There are loads of them and now theres a new emphasis on fitness .
All coaching is done by the Lord Wenger !
If you look at other clubs like MUFC /CHELSEA to name but two there are always a rotating list of highly qualified coaches coming through with fresh ideas that work with the manager ,we dont do it .

He's talking about returning in about 5 years by the sounds of things......at that point even my Dad will be ready to welcome him as first team manager when There's Only One has just presided over his 14th trophyless season

has anyone read his book? I'm a bit put off by the price tag and that it's a Q and A session format.
But I'm sick at the moment, it's pissing with rain and so wondered if a kindle download would be a good thing?

Bergkamp worked as a trainee at Ajax, as an assistant to Neeskens at Netherlands B, then worked his way up from Ajax U12s to U19s deputy and then finally became assistant to the first team under de Boer where he's been for 2 years and probably will continue for a few more. When he takes his first managerial job he'll have years of great experience working at different levels in different roles to add to his unique vision.

Alan Shearer, Gareth Southgate, Roy Keane - just a few players who have walked straight into a PL job even though they barely managed to even get their badges (if they did at all)
Great post.

Bergkamp was actually the striking coach for one year and is now assistant - he has always said the pressure of management was not for him. The current team at Ajax is him, van basten and over overmars.

He also said that Paddy would like to coach us - which is interesting that paddy wouldnt work under wenger.

The Q&A approach actually works quite well tbh. DB10's vision of how the game should be played and his approach to playing make rivetting reading. And it avoids the pitfalls of so many other footballers' books - "I was all like done up like a kipper by the lads and then I got the call for Saturday and I thought I'd better gve 110% because Old trafford is a tough place to go to and my new Bentley needs upholstering and that Gary Lineker off that match of the day was all like giving it large about me missing that penalty against Hull and all that...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

I'm downloading the book. £10 well spent. Can't get a Red ticket for love nor money these days anyhow and at least it's going to a good cause :barscarf:
