The same people slagging him now will be licking his balls in a few years' time.
Feels good to be proven right. I love Ramsey

Re: Aaron Ramsey - statistics and form etc.
A truly remarkable turnaround. Obviously whether he can keep it up in the long-term is the big question but his game and demeanour on the pitch is just completely different. He's benefited from the position allowing him to get forward when we're attacking with the safety net of a really defensively-minded player there - and imo having players arriving into the box from midfield is something that's been missing from our game massively since we last won anything.
But it's definitely more than that. He's gone from being arguably the worst finisher at the club who would fluff almost every chance by thrashing at the ball in sheer panic to the epitome of composure who arrives at the right time, makes the right decisions, works the ball into the best position before pulling the trigger and then tries to slot the ball home. And that's just his goalscoring - he seems a hundred times more confident on the ball, more dynamic, sharper, less of the sluggish passing followed by the inevitable yellow for hauling down his man.
I'm very pleased that he is atm proving me (and most on here) completely wrong and whilst it's always nice to see our players prospering it feels particularly satisfying with Ramsey. Long may it continue.

Ramsey is a player I wanted to see succeed, his form before Shawc**t did him in was amazing. I won't deny I was also on his back last season, and I'm glad to have been proved wrong as well.
I am hoping he can keep this up and won't get injured again.
Might have taken him a couple of years to get his confidence and form back. But it's clicked at just the right time, hopefully Jack can also keep up the upturn in form as well, along with Ozil, Flamini and Santi, it should be a good year.

Aah! Yes! But the obvious difference between them is that gerrard is a diving cheating cruntslop of a *word censored*, whilst Rambo is well cool!Red Gunner wrote:Ramsey (at the moment) is like Gerrard with the elegant touch, dribbling and passing of Iniesta. Perfect.

Agreed. He was poor last night. Got out muscled and out thought in midfield. Dwelled on the ball and cost the first goal and his few tricks and backheels went pear shaped. It was the Ramsey of old. It was a bad night for him. But I'm hoping too it was a one-off and he'll get back to doing the simple things right and return to form quickly.manninger wrote:first bad game from him today....but he will regain confidence. Still can't believe he tried to piss about on the edge of the area rather than give it to Sneezy or agriculturally wallop it upfield last night. There's confidence, and then there's moronic stupidity.
Let's hope it's part of his learning curve and it doesn't happen again as once would be a mistake, twice would be idiotic.
