Bendtner should not be allowed anywhere near the first team again.Nothing short of a disgrace but we all knew that didnt we

Re: Chavs (H) in the thingy cup
Sick of losing to Chelsea and certainly sick of losing to Mourinho, six years away and he returns and nothing has changed.
Two observations about tonight..1) Bendtnar is not just a disgrace to Arsenal , he is a disgrace to football...unfit lumbering disinterested oaf...(obviously he didn't pick himself though)
2 ) Mourinho is a class manager and a classless man...why did he need to wave the imaginary card after a non foul by Vermaelen in injury time of a game they had comfortably won ?
As for the game, we were second best to a second best Chelsea side. simply not good enough,

Re: Chavs (H) in the thingy cup
Im still amazed at how Bendtner, when picked out by a team mate 8 yards out from goal in acres of space, decides to play the ball to Ramsey instead of turning and scoring. Its and indictment of Wenger and Wenger alone that he is the only striker behind Giroud on our books that has PL experience. Woeful player

Re: Chavs (H) in the thingy cup
I would have played either the first team OR entire second string ,this mix n match Bullshit hasnt worked in years and will never.
Even more annoying is benching the big guns until we are chasing the game and then expect them to turn it round
The risk of injury in these circumstances is mutiplied ,either play em from the start or have them restring at home.
As others have mentioned weve done this so many times it's like groundhog day ,this is why long term the Wenger should leave but he wont so expect this for the next 2 years plus.
We have a run of hard games now ,lets see what happens ,I'm not confident but like the sap I am I always have hope !

Didnt see the game due to work but looking at the way Mourinho was dressed he seemed to be taking the piss out of wenger who normally wears his sleeping bag jacket on night like tonight. Mourinho looked like he slept in that outfit for two days. From the reports I've read it looks like a case of our lack of quality in depth and injuries did for us tonight. People go on about a striker but we still lack a quality defensive midfielder, right back and goalkeeper. Looking at the chavs line up I'd say five of them would strengthen our first team E'to, mata, cahill, Luiz and Essien let alone the squad. Result was inevitable. Lets hope we can turn over Liverpool this weekend.

Re: Chavs (H) in the thingy cup
I agree with that - maybe if we had the strength in depth that Chelsea have to be able to start Eto'o and bring on Ba but ultimately why even bother risking the likes of Cazorla and Ramsey with Ozil and Giroud off the bench if you're going to play Bendtner up front, stopping nearly every potential attack in its tracks?Herd wrote:I would have played either the first team OR entire second string ,this mix n match Bullshit hasnt worked in years and will never.

I only saw the last 20 minutes or so, can't really comment on the game itself but agree with herd above - either a second team or the first team.
I also think if you look from the West Brom game onwards, we haven't been great. Looks like a trend, hope not, but one can only judge on the evidence of recent seasons. I hope it's different but fear it's not.

To a tee Herd, last nights risk taking with key players in this pointless fucking tournament, with 3 huge games coming up simply re-affirms any doubts I may have had that Wenger is unfit to manage the club.Herd wrote:I would have played either the first team OR entire second string ,this mix n match Bullshit hasnt worked in years and will never.

Usually this sort of disastrous tinkering and indecision happens in January / February but it seems he has started early this season.
The mousers will come fresh off a convincing win at the weekend and I can already hear Wenger's excuses if we get turned over.

Re: Chavs (H) in the thingy cup
100% agree with all that. What a stupid risk to take with both Ozil and Giroud, particularly with the far more important game against the Mousers on Saturday. We have one striker; Giroud. Not world class by any means, but he has delivered the goods more than not and if he gets injured we have no one even near his ability.donaldo wrote:What made tonight worse was he didnt play the kids. The Fat Drunk showed again last night that he has no first touch. But more importantly he also showed again he has very little footballing intelligence; he doesn't know when to run or where to run. Even more importantly in some ways is he is also lacking a work ethic. He challenged in the air for about half the balls that Giroud would have and spent long spells just walking around up front where Giroud at least would track back and try win the ball or pick it up deeper if needed.

Deeply stupid comment. I'm embarrassed for you.afcforever wrote:Alan smith is such a wanker, never has a good word about the Arsenal.

I could understand including Cazorla because I think he's still a bit short of match fitness - last night he upped his match shitness instead.
To be honest, anything less than a few first teamers would have seen us humiliated. Chelsea have the luxury of fully fledged experienced players behind them. Unfortunately, that's what you get when you can afford the players Chelsea can. Luiz, Mata, Essien & Willian you're looking at over 100M of players.

Can't agree. Like most pundits/co-commentators, he praises us when it is deserved and he criticises us when it is deserved. What do you want? An obviously biased pundit saying everything is wonderful when it isn't?afcforever wrote:He never has a good word to say about the Arsenal, not just last night.DB10GOONER wrote:Deeply stupid comment.
