As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Legend

Post by Wayno »

I left the Rocket today to place a bet on the national. Whilst walking out I had to give way to Arsenal legend Alan Smith. I went back to the Rocket and told Suffolk and Chunky about who I had seen. Suffolk and I devised a plan that basically went along the lines of us two going over to Paddy Power and kiddnapping Smudger......Easy. We told the doormen at the rocket that we would be bringing back an Arsenal Legend and that he would probably be kicking his legs and trying to escape but they were to ignore this as it was all part of the Ray Kennedy Day. Anyway, Suffolk and I went over the road and after a quick scan of the place were just about to leave empty handed when we asked a fellow gooner of Smudgers whereabouts, he promptly pointed to the front counter.......Of all the places to hide in a bookies, no wonder he scored so many  Anyway, we waited for him to walk out, all primed and ready to grab him by the arms and legs if he refused to come...."Hello Alan", "over the road there are about one thousand (slighlty exagerrated )gooners drinking beer and raising money for Ray Kennedy", would you please be so kind as to come over and say a few words, Perry Groves has agreed to attend and we promise we will get you out quickly". Smudger explained that he had a train to catch but still agreed to come on over to the Rocket......Fucking Legend...He did as ask and sais a few words across the PA, preceed by a chorus of "Alan Smith, Alan Smith, Alan Smith". He came out of the booth nd signed a few autographs and true to our word, Suffolk and I hustled him out as quickly as he came in..........Oh yes and my horse won 8)

Thank you Smudger 8)

Might I ask why you hate the National?

And I'm not looking for a row, personally I love any type of horse racing, and the National be the king of racing races. So I'll defend a claimer of 4 horses and the National of 40 horses.

Just don't like it after they made such a monumental fuck up that year. I found the whole thing a huge embarrassment

Oxfordshire. I didn't want to know the result so I could watch the video without knowing but thanks to a couple of people (naming no names) that didn't happen. Anyway got home too late for watching it all last night so did so this morning. It tried to pretend it didn't happen and everyone seemed surprised that I didn't want to know the result. I didn't want to mention it at all but my friend's words to her father as we were walking along were "Do you remember this one she supports a dodgy football team" Luckily for her I was not in the right mood to thump her one :!: Gutted I missed a Bendtner goal but then I feel equally gutted he didn't score more than one :!: :? Disappointed we didn't win but both teams had a lot of chances. I had hoped when I'd agreed to my duties as Godmother that Liverpool would still be in the FA Cup. When the next one comes along I'll tell her what date I CAN do
