As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
The way people say, willy nilly, that'd they'd "drive" someone somewhere to get rid of them. Now, Theo to Monaco - yes, I'd bite their hand off ...but it's a long way to drive from London to Monaco with all those tolls and a few stopovers - remember it's not you who's getting the 34 million and you're going to have to take a few days off work.

Exactly and who would like to have that useless *word censored* Walcott as a passenger for the duration of the journey, unless it was to give a good seeing to to his missus, Mel!!

If she was sat in the front with a mini skirt on then I'd happily take them.

ok so we get rid of Wally for say £34m,my question is who do we replace him with?he's one of the only players that gives us width, pace and he scores goals.£34m,no way, monaco can stick it imho, and no im not on drugs

Would be worth going after somebody like Reus for a start - ambitious I know but that sort of money would trigger his release clause or be accepted anyway probably and when he sees Lewandowski follow Gotze out the door, sees Dortmund fall short(er) of Bayern again domestically and in Europe and then gets a huge offer from a big club in a really attractive league he may be tempted.
The likes of Bayern, Madrid and Barca are also willing to let some quality players go to make room for the new flavour of the month. If you're looking for exciting young players you could buy any highly sought-after hot prospect and still get a fair bit of change from that.
Face it, there are very few wide players that £34m wouldn't buy. I certainly think we could get somebody better than Walcott, who in a typical 5 game cycle will have 1 excellent game, 2 games where he drifts in and out and 2 games where he's totally useless.
He's by no means the finished article and at times drives me barmy, but selling him is not in our best interests because without him in tight games we look pedestrian and in the games against Dortmund and Chelsea for example he would have offered a different type of threat. Instead the game was played out at a snail's pace in front of their back lines
He's probably the second best option to play up front too at the moment given that Wenger refuses to sign a striker in the same stubborn way he refused to sign a keeper for several years
