Lets reserve judgment until next week - the two toughest tests are coming up next. I genuinely believe the team are still haunted by that 8-2 debacle at the Theatre of Sleep and have been abject there in recent years. The prawn sandwich munchers will get behind them that day and Moyes will have them flying into us like he had Everton doing to us at the bowl last year

Chance to put 11 points between us......think its a massive, pivotal game in the season. United 5 points behind and their first BIG win under Moyes, or 11 points behind and the plastics all booing and jamming up the phone lines from Surrey to Devon calling for his head
Agreed, imo last season was almost as embarassing as the 8-2 defeat. Although the history books will say only a 2-1 defeat we were fucking abject in that game, looked shit scared of them and didn't even look like we believed we belonged on the same pitch. Luckily it didn't get anywhere near the same media attention but for me pussying out like that is far worse then a bare bones side getting dicked in the second half when the manager stupidly decided to chase the game by taking off any kind of protection our back 4 had.

Made all the worse but that disgusting fat Brazilian turd swapping shirts at half time. My recent memories of Old Trafford consist of this:

....and this

....and finally

.....but what we all want is some of this

we showed just how average Liverpool are,we controlled the game after our first goal, why is it though that the first goal is always so pivotal in the games we play,if we go a goal up we can go on to look awesome,if we go a goal down we look so vulnerable.a great win tonight and Arteta was blinding,i still don't think hes cut out to be a DM.i just hope we can carry on in the same vain or near enough until January when the transfer window opens and we can finally bring in a world class striker to share Girouds work load. :barscarf:

I wish I could forget Bendy! Park doesn't count and the others are all Injured, Hence we only have Giroud.

I know folk said our position was false and while the natural thing for me to say is 'ha! that proved them wrong' I do actually think the mousers position was more false than ours 'may' have been and it was perhaps more that we showed up how false their's was rather than ours wasn't. Nonetheless, good atmosphere, great fun and marvellous stuff all things considered :) Hope Hnasen is on MOTD tonight, will enjoy seeing what the turd says

All of the team played well imo.......except ozil - I might be getting ahead of myself at the mo, and I know his expression last Tuesday night v the chavs is on my mind, but I don't think that he looks to be a happy camper right now. Against the chavs I put it down to the fact that he didn't expect that he would have to play alongside (and carry) shite like bedtner and park when he signed, but they didn't even get onto the pitch today and he still looked like he didn't give a fcuk

Don't read too much into it, that's just Ozil's nature. In quite a few games it looks like he's not doing much or doesn't care but he knows what he's doing and often will step up and create when needed. I thought he wasn't amazing but I like how his passing is direct and quick, he doesn't just pick up the ball wander around and then play a pass backwards all the time like we have been guilty of in the past. He even tweeted after the game about the game being played at formula 1 speed and I still think he's trying to adapt to the pace of games in the Premier League.

I agree that Arteta was Man of the Match and I've never understood the criticism of him, sometimes I think people get too carried away with Flamini. Arteta is a lot more composed, I think he breaks the other teams play up well and works tirelessly and on top of that his distribution of the ball is very good and allows the players in front of him to attack with speed. I think Flamini and him will work together very well and definitely for the tougher games the both of them must start.

Fecking hell augie!  :? :? Your reading of Ozil's feelings - especially based on such flimsy evidence - is about as accurate as Derek Acorah produces on his sham television appearances !!

What an enjoyable day!! :barscarf:

Working in a night club I should have missed the game
Quick chat with my spurs manager(credit to him):
Ok you can go and watch it but come 2 hours early to set the club with your 2 Liverpool colleagues

Deal!! 8)

Go down the pub with the mousers,
At half time I can't find any of them in the pub.
At 1 goal up those 2 bitches choosed to go back to work instead of cheering on their team..

I owned them all night.. 8)

fantastic result..great performance...loved the facebook comment by a plastic @pool fan known to me after their "goal" wasn't allowed...."ref could have allowed the free kick to be taken and then booked the Arsenal player later..robbed YNWA" It wasn't as if the ref had not allowed Liverpool an advantage, he gave them a free and was giving Sagna a deserved card.
When I saw the lineups I was more confident than normal, it was obvious that Liverpool's only strength was in attack..The Liverpool midfield were always going to struggle if ours played well..and they did. Gave them chances near the end but that's what it was, it was what we gave them...bigger tests to come, two this week to begin with.
About the Santos shirt swap there last season, couldn't call it a swap Van P€r$i€ showed no interest in taking the Burger King's shirt. Seen a Fulham player beaming with delight after doing the same yesterday, at least he did it after the game.

To be fair next weekend is the real test. Obviously a good result last night but Liverpool are the 6th best team in the league, they'll fall a way short of CL football again never mind champions. Dortmund are obviously a brilliant team and it's going to be very difficult out there but for me OT is the litmus test because United are picking up a bit of form, rarely lose big games at home and have swept us aside for years now. Get a result there and it may make a few people reassess.
