Dortmund away - travel

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Change at Brussels for the 1.28pm to Cologne, then we're just going to jump a local train from Cologne to Dusseldorf, it's not far so shouldn't be expensive. The Eurostar out on 5th, back on 7th cost £117 per person including the connection from Brussels to Cologne.
There's four of us on the same train out. Coach 4 to Brussels, and coach 28 to Cologne. But I guess plenty of time in the bar carriage as well. We're staying in Dortmund itself though. I've even picked out the Brauhaus to go to in Cologne when we get there for mid-journey Kölsch.

We are flying to Amsterdam from stansted then getting the train into Dortmund hotel right by the station aswell worked out quite cheap. Only problem is the website crashed when they went onsale to our season tickets and then sold out. So travelling without match tickets atm. If anyone has any spares or any last minute drop outs we will be happy to take any off your hands. Can collect before travel or meet up in Dortmund and will throw in some beer as well!!!

Top match of the 2. Bundesliga: 1st vs 2nd, both on 24 points from 12 matches. :barscarf:

The only thing that's possible is that he'll need to stay fit for 50 games because otherwise we'll be unleashing Chuba Chops, the Fat Danish Samurai or Postman Pat on Europe's finest !

Me and a mate are driving over from Portsmouth.
Will be a 05:00 start on Wednesday to drive to Folkstone then the Eurotunnel to Calais then drive to Bochum.
EuroTunnel return was £60 and hotel in Bochum was £64 so between the 2 of us it is pretty cheap.

I assume everyone is meeting up in the main square at Dortmund? (I'll be the guy falling asleep after driving 500 miles :barscarf: )

traffic can be a bit of a nightmare in the Ruhrgebiet. Might as well take the A42 instead of the A40...

not free from Cologne is it ? 70 miles away? doubt it!! if your going to the 2nd Cologne airport outside Cologne there is no train station so you have to train it into Cologne too!
