As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Would like to see the same starting line-up as we did against Dortmund except with Flamini in for Arteta. Rosicky, Ramsey and Ozil are must starts for me right now so I wouldnt start Wally. But if Wally were to start I would have it be for Cazorla.
I would be very surprised if Wally started, definately an impact sub for me at the moment. Hes not got match fitness, and would surely fade just when others are tiring and need a few fast runs from him. He shouldnt start yet.
Hard to leave anyone out of the winning team, all played so well, maybe Flamoni in for someone, though CAnt really begin to see who. I do wonder about the overplaying wisdom people talk about- we have a long rest before the next game now, hope our players internationals go well for them, but surely all have one game before the Southampton match
Happy days, the pressure on midfield places is immense isnt it
Hoping for 2-8 reverse, but even a ground out 0-1 would be great
lets keep our feet on the ground, things usually go tits up at old Trafford, our invincibles run came to a sticky end there, lets hope we can make it 15 away games unbeaten and not let them end this run weve got,to be honest if we avoid defeat you can say it would have been a great 8 days
Always fear refs in these games..United didn't need him in recent years against us but back in the day when they did the ref generally never let them down.
Jack Stealer wrote:Anyone seen what Gary Neville has been saying on twitter? Once a *word censored* always a *word censored* I suppose. Pretty much calling for the team to go out and ignore playing football in try to kick us off the park;
"Is Reyes Playing? Could be one of those days!"
"You were better at football than us and we had to win so needs must!"
What is he England assistant manager? Setting a good example at least...twat
Struggling to think of anything that could encapsulate the outdated moronic part of the 'English mentality' more than that.
Wenger = GOAT wrote:Hopefully we fuck United's shit up. So annoyed by these POS always somehow dominating us despite having a weak team, certainly on paper, the past few years.
Should have Arteta and Flamini in the middle, cut off their supply lines to their wingers and forward. The only two players of note they have are Van Judas and Shrek. We should be able to dominate Carrick and Fellaini or Cleverly easy. I don't even rate Carrick he can easily be bullied off the ball. Don't know how much an option getting stuck into them is going to be though seeing as refs will always support united .
Actually looking forward to this match for once, should be an easy victory but we all know how hard the friggin' refs make the matches for us against united.
United's defence is shit, their midfield is shit. We'll be high on confidence, should be an easy victory, 100% serious. Gollum is going to get trolled hard.
Compare the teams on paper and you will be left wondering why the heck this is being described as a close match in the first place. If only football was as simple.
Only worry is our left hand side which has looked the most vulnerable in recent matches. Hope Gibbs is up to it. Think we'll go with Flamini, Arteta and Ramsey in midfield. Ozil on the left, Cazorla on the right.
They have 2 world class players: Judas and Shrek, we have 5: Özil, Cazorla, Ramsey, Mertesacker, Koscielny
