DORTMUND CL GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

By the way, if the club don't offer Sagna a new and improved contract immediately then they need shooting!! :banghead:
It would kill Jenkinson

Agreed, Sagna has to stay. Sign him up!

It funny how the bloke with the glasses is getting a cuddle from his mates......then we score and they shun him...

It looks to me that someone has just shouted at them "Hey!!! You do realise your cuddling a ginga!!!!

Then just look at the lad on the rights embarrassed face  He is a ringer for Joey from Friends too when he pulls that face :D

Do you notice as well the lad behind him turns around, picks something up and is then about to launch it

As someone pointed out though, they are wearing Wembley shirts.....

Was a great game and a good atmosphere. Thought the Gooner support was pretty decent, the Upper Tier anyway, presumably those downstairs as well. Always weird being in a 'mixed zone' but I have to say the Dortmund fans were very fair, never any hint of trouble.

They were loud coming from the other end of the ground in their 'Sudtribune' but really the other 3 sides of the ground were nothing special, only occasionally feeding off the stuff coming from the south end.

In such a big game and at 0-0, with Dortmund in control of the game throughout the entire 1st half, I was a little surprised the atmosphere wasn't absolutely electric. Was still pretty good though.

DB10GOONER wrote:Just thinking about Kos getting clattered by their keeper. Surely if a keeper comes charging 10 yards, misses the ball and jumps into a player, whilst leading with his arm and knee, it should be a penno? I know they are never given but this over-protecting of, and preferential treatment of, keepers has always bugged me. If a CH had hit Kos like that it would be a nailed on penno. :|

And to round it all off the keeper was then outraged that he wasn't allowed take a quick goal kick

Must be the worst rag ever, proclaim England 2 then show Rambo the Welshman, hardly an Englishman in The Chavs or our side :cussing:

The chanting from our fans was great right through, Greens voice was hard to hear (often good news that :banghead: )

Granted only Gibbs played at Dortmund but we've actually got one of the biggest group of English first-teamers, at least in the top half of the table. Which is quite finny considering all the sneering we used to have to put up with, especially from the likes of Alan Pardew
