Can't wait for this one. Having to put up with united fans for so many years has been a nightmare but I feel we are finally in a position where we can go there and take the 3 points! Bring em on :barscarf:

Should have Arteta and Flamini in the middle, cut off their supply lines to their wingers and forward. The only two players of note they have are Van Judas and Shrek. We should be able to dominate Carrick and Fellaini or Cleverly easy. I don't even rate Carrick he can easily be bullied off the ball. Don't know how much an option getting stuck into them is going to be though seeing as refs will always support united :banghead: .

Actually looking forward to this match for once, should be an easy victory but we all know how hard the friggin' refs make the matches for us against united.

United's defence is shit, their midfield is shit. We'll be high on confidence, should be an easy victory, 100% serious. Gollum is going to get trolled hard.

Compare the teams on paper and you will be left wondering why the heck this is being described as a close match in the first place. If only football was as simple.

Only worry is our left hand side which has looked the most vulnerable in recent matches. Hope Gibbs is up to it. Think we'll go with Flamini, Arteta and Ramsey in midfield. Ozil on the left, Cazorla on the right.
They have 2 world class players: Judas and Shrek, we have 5: Özil, Cazorla, Ramsey, Mertesacker, Koscielny

Behave ffs - I campaigned for us to sign mertesacker for a year before (our board went over wenker's head) we signed him and I still absolutely believe that he is our most natural defender, but world class ? I don't fcuking think so. Ditto that for Ramsey and kos unless you think that a player can be classed as world class after only 3 months top quality performances

Since your summer transfer window predictions went (mostly) tits up, you seem to be wildly ott on so many topics - it's not something that you would have shown in the past so I dunno what the fcuk has gone wrong with you

"World class" is a phrase I generally steer clear of because everybody interprets it differently and people get really riled up over what is essentially semantics but wild use of the term here has roped me in to comment.

For a start, Koscielny has made great strides but I certainly wouldn't apply the label world class to a centre-half with such a gaping flaw in their game. He shits himself at strikers who rely on physicality and if he can't nip in first to a ball played to any striker's feet his default option is just to go straight through the back of them. He also still has a propensity to dive in stupidly in the box.

Every year people talk about this game or that game being "the biggest in years" but in this post Fergie era I truly believe that this is the biggest league match we've had in a few years

To be honest we've been abject up there in the past few seasons and normally by this stage of the season already thinking about scraping 4th whilst they are chasing the title with City and Chelsea. We expected to get beat up there and we duly rolled over and died. Now, many a pundit and hopeful fan are talking about us going up there and winning with a degree of expectation rather than hope and its a new kind of pressure. I think there's more pressure on this than the Dortmund game because we went there mostly expecting to lose and in the end came away with an amazing win.

Win and go 11 points above them and I really think they will start to get at Moyes. Lose and let them close to within 5 points and we go into a run of games including City and Chelsea pre-Christmas that could see us back level with them

I hate going to Old Trafford these days - used to love it. Just hope we can bring back glorious memories of '98 and '02 rather than the pitiful ones of the past 2 seasons........and if anyone spots those two trogs with their fucking banner pls shove it where the sun don't shine ! :D

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH !!!!

I still can't decide what was more shameful - those two fucking lumps displaying that thing after our worst defeat in a century or last year with Fatboy Santos chasing Van Judas for his shirt

Biggest game of the PL season by a long long way because of the importance for both teams. Echoing what SteveO said really but this is a fixture in the last few years that has summed up the relative positions of the two teams.

If United lose they'll be 11 points off the top having already been awful against Citeh, Chelsea and Liverpool and unconvincing in CL to boot. The doubts around the club are pretty obvious already but think this would bury their PL hopes.

If we lose it'll be deja vu and especially if we play terribly it'll really knock us off our stride and play on our minds in the other big games. It also means we'll be pegged back and in all likelihood a bit off the pace by Christmas time given our fixtures until then.

A draw favours us far more than them because it constitutes progress from previous seasons and a continuation of the good run we're on.

The pessimists have all become optimists :D i would take a draw now. In my opinion it would be a point gained which at the start of the season we would not expect, and united dropping two points at home will only make them
more vulnerable and less intimidating to other teams for the rest of the season.

You know what this is the first time we will go to OT in years where I wont be hoping for a point. We have to win tomorrow. If we lose...well I guess we'll know the answer to our season. If we win then I think we have a legit opportunity to win the league.

TBH I'd be very disappointed with a draw even.

This man utd team is there for the taking. They've been demolished by Man City and L'pool and pretty much unconvincing in the CL. ffs even West Brom and Southampton beat, ffs EVEN stoke nearly beat them. We can easily beat them, utd are nothing nowadays without red nose.
