The performance that proves nothing has changed.

In the last 26 combined games against Manchester United and a Mourinho managed Chelsea he has won the grand total of........one ! That one was a game where United had already as good as sealed the title and were on their holidays

If you want a manager to give you the predictable glory of 4th, stick with There's Only One Arsehole Wenker. If you want to dare any try something a bit different like actually winning games you're not expected to, and picking up a shiny silver thing once in a while, try something different

An abject, pathetic, tip tap surrender against the most mediocre United team in years. Barely a shot on target.

The 8-2 will forever be a scar that this manager and team can not remove, and why he should have done the honourable thing that day and packed it all in

Thought Gnabry looked lively when he came on. Could have done with that pace and width earlier in the game.

Still top of the league and even more players to come back from injury and sickness.

We were tired, Man Utd closed us down well.

Gnabry should have come on earlier, he is raw but fearless and full of energy.

Ozil looked exhausted.

We missed Theo's pace, Rosicky's ability to force errors and play smart passes, and The Ox and Podolski would have got a few more shots off.

Was anybody else disgusted by the effort levels at the end of that game? We only played at any sort of tempo for 2 minutes once Gnabry came on but apart from that it was entirely pedestrian. 87 minutes gone and we're wasting time taking throw-ins because even though we're in the attacking third and losing nobody was showing for the ball.

Clearly this group of players has a huge complex about these sorts of games. United completely sat back in the last 15 minutes and were asking to throw the game away - had we dug in and upped the tempo we would have at least caused them some panic but as it was we were content to amble around passing the ball sideways because our attacking players were hiding behind defenders.

Hardly the end of the world though is it. Yes they're shite but 8 days ago we were facing three massive games in 8 days and most of us thought we'd come away with feck all from them. As it is 2 wins out of 3 is not a bad return.

I would have loved to win this one to break our bad run up there but we have at least shown that we can compete at a high level. If we are brave enough to make 1 or 2 signings in January we could still be in the running in May.

Essentially, if anyone had told me back in August that we would be top of the league at the November international break.......I'd had laughed at them. I'm therefore quite happy with my lot right now.

Still top. Only liverpool within range of taking us at the top but looking at their fixtures they'll stutter. With theo, podolski, the ox still to come back we'll be top at christmas. We still got 3 points on the genuine challengers chavs, united, and city. We all know what we need, so does wenger, no need to panic.

There's probably going to be the typical overreaction but we weren't that bad. It's not like we rolled over like the last two seasons and it was a set piece goal that cost us. Giroud is not the problem, the issue today was that both Santi and Ozil done nothing and we severely lacked pace.

With Podolski and Walcott both back I think they will have a massive impact. To have players that want to score and look to make runs behind opposition defences it will give the likes of Ozil options and stretch teams. We have a decent run of fixtures coming up and by mid december we could feasibly still be a few points clear at the top so now is hardly the time for hysterics.

Agreed. I wonder if the win over Dortmund acted as a blueprint for today, and if so that was a mistake.

We didn't have a shot in the first half today, and when I turned to my dad at half time and said we've been poor and too tentative, he basically said it's ok because that tactic worked in Dortmund as if that justified it.

Now, sorry but even though we won in Dortmund, I'm not convinced not shooting or attacking with intent (and riding your luck defensively) is the best tactic in the world even if we did get away with it in Dortmund.

Anyway, once I've calmed down from the frustration of the game and that image of RVP looking a little too happy for a former captain of our great club, I'll look back on this as a missed opportunity, but ultimately not catastrophic for our season. Fine margins indeed; a hammering this was not. Bring on Southampton, Cardiff and Hull, and lets get going again.

F*ckin Fuming!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Don't even know where to start! First kudos to Arsene for lining up our two DM in Arteta and Flamini and changing basically the general line up. Nice way to spread your f*ckin arse open to those shower of shite! May as well play with 8 defenders, just in case the message is not clear enough that we fear them. Ramsey has been so good in the middle, so why not put him back on the wing? We have a f*ckin pletoria of good midfields, technical and all, but the genius in charge just puts them all on the wings and sticks with our two less creative midfielders in the middle! A feckin joke!!!

Giroud, stop doing your hair, take your feckin Model antics with you and go back to Ligue 2 where you belong. I don't give the slightest f*ck if he makes the others play in and is "great at link up". FFS! All I ask of a striker is, as it says, to strike!

Oh and please, I think he's had enough roses sent his way... It's seriously time Ozil takes his finger out of his arse and shows he's worth at least half the 40 mil we spent for him!

Just want to hit and break everything around me! FFS! AGAIN! Every time it's the same b*llshit! We get done by those f*ckin neanderthals and I can already see this c*nt Evra bragging on about "children" and "men"!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

To me that was no better than last season up there when we didn't bother playing for the first half and then had one of Wenger's "illusionary dominations" in the second half.

Absolutely obvious that Giroud is knackered and who can blame him, playing the lone striker role week in and week out. But our utterly contemptuous manager has left us with no other option and there is more chance of finding rocking horse shit than the useless tool being able to secure a striker worthy of the name in January

The entire ownership structure and management team are small time losers. The chance was there in the Summer to sign another 2 star players to go with Ozil long before United, City and Chelsea settled under their new managers but as usual we went on holiday until the 31st August

It hurts like fuck but we will never ever win anything again with this bunch at the helm

Agree. But what kind of supposedly super fit young athlete doesn't lift their game at the thought of going 5 points clear?
There's no excuse unless the illness is more widespread than just Per and Rosicky.

100% agree with you. Our tactics and execution in the Dortmund game was perfect. But they're a far better team than United, and one that attacks at far more pace with more players and often coming through the middle. It was the sort of game that once we got a foothold if we strung together 2 or 3 sharp one-touch passes we'd be through the because of the men they commit forward and

United are a fairly negative side who won't throw hordes of players forward and won't create much from the middle of the park. In a sense you have to work a lot harder and take more risks to create chances because they'll sit back far more so you can't rely on a few sharp passes.

The only time we showed any tempo today was for 2 minutes after Gnabry came on.

To lose at utd away 1 nil is never a disgrace and I thought we deserved a draw, great crosses from sagna. I honestly believe we can win the prem with a bit of luck. Hopefully in Jan we'll buy a world class striker.
