Haven't posted on here in a while, but wanted to see what this year had in store. Ultimately, it looks as thought Bould has been given a go and a more pragmatic outlook has taken hold without the ball. This is a massive positive.
The problem is that going forward, it is all too predictable with the triangular passes of 5 a side games which leads me back to still wanting Wenger out of the club. I know that we have had injuries, but why do we continually get hammered by teams which should be our peers? It is because we offer nothing going forward now because everyone has worked out what we are going to do when we get the ball and especially if we fall behind.
I'll admit that Wenger is a great coach. He can improve players with his coaching, but tactically, he is very poor. It isn't enough to play tippy tappy football, sometimes a more direct approach should be used and yesterday would have been one of those days.
Utd really offered nothing and that is a testament to how we are defending nowadays, but now the problem is what we do with the ball which should come into question. Against the big teams which should be our peers, we just do not offer enough.

as mentioned with our squad a decent manager would have won yesterday,looking at the united line up against ours player for player apart from judas who else would you have taken over our starting 11,fucking no one,why the fuck didnt we win,it makes me soooooooooo fucking mad,the humiliation is suffocating me

I'd take Vidic over TV5.
I'd like Valencia too. Possibly for Arteta and let Rambo go central.
Was considering De Gea but I'd probably stick with Chez although its a close one.

Wenger was shown up for what he is against manure... A tactically naive or should that be inept manager.
He got away with it for the first ten years because he had great players who could react to changing match situations without the need for intervention from the manager. Without those players we have been found out and it is glaringly obvious to those that do not possess Wenger tinted specs that he is a major part of the problem due to his tactical ineptitude!

The same old failings haunt Arsenal as a team and you have to point fingers at the manager for not addressing them (how often have we said that over the last 8 years)!!??

Zonal marking has been our downfall several times, as far as I'm aware, not many, if any, successful teams these days employ this method.....this tells you something. Lack of options in certain areas make us very weak if a player is injured or out of form. Failure to change things when they are going very badly continues to hurt us. Bigging up the players constantly in the media does us no favours at all, they are already treated like precious babies, they need a kick up the arse sometimes not a 'there there, we'll give you a new contract next month' chat.

I mean no disrespect, but any Gooner that actually thinks we're winning anything, for as long as that tactically inept looney is in charge, might need to consider getting their head examined.
To be a top team, and to be considered proper title contenders, a manager is needed who can switch up things when we find ourselves at a disadvantage.....be it a change in formation, an unplanned substitution, shifting around players.... somefuckingthing that can haul our arses back into a game. Wenger has proven time and time again that he's clueless whenever a little calling for some tactical nous is sounded. It's just the same pass it to death 5 fucking yards lateral and back. How many times did we find ourselves labouring into the final 3rd only to see the ball find its way back to ur CBs and goalie.
We have no wide player who's willing, or even able it might seem, to bomb down the wing and put a proper cross in. Always the same narrow shit where we try, inexplicably, to slothfully walk it through a packed midfield and into the back of the opponent's net. Our FBs and wide midfielders are always looking to cut into the middle once they get past the half line. On the rare occasionwhen we send a cross into the box, hardly is there ever an attacker to latch onto the ball.
Our football will work against pub teams who come for a game, but the predictable, pedestrian tiki taka won't work against proper teams that know how to sit deep whilst we try to start another laboured attack. We need to learn how to mix it up, when to play triangles as opposed to when to play it long for a runner (shockingly lacking) to latch on to.
Final point is our no show in 1st halves. Is this a result of Wenger's own admission that he doesn't study the opposition prior to a game? Is it that he uses the 1st half to as a kind of containment stanza, trying to figure out the opposition's game plan/tactics/style of play and then at half time makes the requisite adjustments? I seriously hope this is just a far fetched idea being congealed in the gutters of my weird mind.
