Eight years in which he won 1 FA Cup as a bit part player when we had world class players

In 1 year at United he won something he could have tried and failed to win for another 10 years under Wenger
Just one point of order I'd like to make, SteveO. Because it is similar to a discussion augie and I had, I'll quote some of what I responded to him with:

RVJC didn't play with "world class players" very often, if at all. RVJC joined us in 2004. Average Al joined in 2004, LegoHead in 2006, Bendtner in 2005. Add to that Mong in 2005, Djourou in 2004, Barndoor in 2006, Senderos in 2003, Comedy Eboue in 2005... I could go on....

Most were regulars (or at least getting games) by 2007/2008. I would say that RVJC didn’t play in any great Arsenal teams. He missed the boat on that one.

Bergkamp left in 2006, Henry in 2007, Pires in 2006, Freddie in 2007, Sol in 2006.... again, I could go on... For most of his time on his arse in the treatment room he was in an Arsenal squad loaded with shit and only spent a couple of seasons in one with any real quality to it.

So my question again to anyone that thinks RVJC did anything but look after his own interest (even though he owed us, to my mind) is; why didn’t RVJC question our ambition in 2007? Or after we fucked the PL away in 2008? Why not in 2009 or 2010? Why wait until 2012? Why wait until he has that one great season?
All joking aside (especially after the still reverberating pain of yesterdays defeat) That is one of your best posts DB...and I think you should raise that exact same question in your next book

"She Said No Robin - She said No You Judas Cruntslop"

Having a flu jab will not give you the flu - it's a dead vaccine and takes about 10 days to work. If you have a flu jab and then contract said bug, you've already picked up the vrius and no vaccine will prevent it. If you've not been exposed to flu, the most that you'll get after the vaccine is a sore arm and some mild symptoms, nothing more.

I've just recently organised flu jabs for 40-odd people at work, and sore arms were the only reactions.

Are you sure they were flu jabs, sounds like excessive wanking to me?

Might have been that, who knows? No idea what my colleagues get up to in their spare time!

Totally wrong mate, the flu jab doesn't give you the flu, it triggers the immune system but the vaccine does not contain any live viruses so it cannot cause flu, if that was true what old person with a far weaker immune system would have the flu jab

Depends on your perception of flu, I suppose. We've all heard people saying, "oh I've had the flu." Sorry but flu really does wipe you out, if you're walking around and sneezing a bit, you've just got a bad cold.

Either way, still wouldn't be much use trying to play a top level game of football

Love the way that a thread of a game at OT has developed into a medical thread!
My understanding was that any vaccine contains a very small amount of said virus to trigger the immune system into action in order to kick the shit out of it?

I'm still overwhelmingly bitter and pissed off about this, more so than usual. Such a missed opportunity. Our biggest game imo since the CL semi-final against them and a chance to right some wrongs, and we didn't even turn up. We could have played that game 10 times and we wouldn't have won a single time setting up the way we did.

Every fucking year up there Rooney has a blinder too. With the possible exception of Koscielny I don't think one other player had a notable game yesterday. Every year he's twice as hungry as anyone else on the pitch, every year he runs his bollocks off and disrupts our game by chasing down defenders and deep-sitting midfielders, every year he gets their fans going, every year he drops deep to pick up the ball and provide the link between their piss-poor midfield and attack and every year we don't legislate for it at all.

Maybe in 3 years time Wenger will acknowledge a mistake or contributing weakness of some sort. In the same way that we were assured that we could perform after losing Cesc and Nasri and then 2 years later it was "of course we were going to suffer". And just like how he sold van Judas and then repeated that we would get by fine without him, then at the end of the season "of course we were going to miss him". And just like before and after every big game he refutes the suggestion that we were scared or bottled it before acknowledging it a few years later. Just don't expect him to actually change the problem - HIM - in the meantime.

That's how I understood it as well, some people have adverse reactions to flu jabs and vaccine jabs in general.

Just passing it on lads, don't shoot the messenger.

Odd time to be thinking of giving flu jabs if true- Asda and Boots been selling them for weeks and our local GP surgery were giving them 3 weeks ago- surely should have given them AFTER the match- in the arm if you win and bum if loose, that may have motivated them slightly

Its a good idea to give them but even a sore arms no good just pre match :cussing:
