The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sort of agree with both of you. I think AVB is a decent manager - although this season he's made some poor decisions.

But he does also come off as an exceptionally smug prick in interviews and I imagine it grates on Spurs fans even more than me when they're on a dreadful run, especially when he has a pop at them and seems to have an excuse up his sleeves for everything.

the spuds have the little guy OneBard Ewok syndrome - always at the front at a the start of a ruck, and either goes down with one punch or leaves a shit smelling vaccumn in their wake.

but you know they'll be right back at the front next week giving it large.

i will NEVER conider the spuds our footbal rivals - they spent a large part of their history in the 2nd Division from the 20's to the 50's and in the 70's. Same as the Chav's, they'll have to stay up another 20 years for me to consider them close rivals.

Up until the 1990's our Boxing Day game seemed to be always QPR as one of the spuds or chavs were in a Division below us.
Certainly not our football rivals. But deffo our local tribal rivals. 8)

If trophies were awarded for looking like Mickey Mouse and monotone mumbling, he'd have lifted the Double by now

Does Mickey Mouse wear an AVB watch ?

He's the equivalent of the players they acquire - they can only get the understudys, not the real headliners - Spurs' Mourinho. (btw, and i will probably get abused - but i think Mourinho is excellent). AVB is terrible.

What a knob - I wonder how he'd react with 70,000 odd singing a disgusting song at him about being a paedophile. "Sacked in the morning" sung by one Norweigan fan......lol, what a laughing stock

my observations are that AVB takes himself incredibly seriously. He is a genuine football nerd.

Jose is also very sensitive but he does have a sense of humour, I can see why the two egotists did not get on.

I thought AVB's issues at Chelsea were down to people like Lampard, Terry and Drogba but I guess AVB really has some issues dealing with some people.
