As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Arteta and Flamini must play because we need to be as solid as possible defensively. Ozil and Ramsey look out on their feet and desperately need a rest. So does Giroud.
Napoli need to win by 3 or more clear goals in order to go through. Not happening surely.
Come on you Gunners.
Cannot start Bendtner up front. Yes Napoli have frailties but going out there with a negative mindset and having that tub of lard up top means we'll spend 90 minutes defending with the ball constantly coming back at us because on the rare occasion the fat bastard is in the right area his first touch will go 15 yards.
Cannot see any other outcome than us progressing here - we might not win but we would have to be absolute shite not to go through.
Like many others, I too am more focused on the citeeh game - tbh I would accept the team being knocked out on wednesday night if it meant beating citeeh on sunday. The league has and always will be my number 1 priority and until we win 2 or 3 back to back league titles, I wont give a fcuk about this competition.
All that being said, being knocked out of the champs lge may have a devastating effect on player confidence ahead of the citeeh game - our players confidence has always been fragile and getting knocked out here wont help as we lack real roll up the sleeves type leaders. Actually I am not sure if our players have it in them to bounce back from any defeat wednesday night - yesterdays result might have been acceptable to most but the performance wont have been and I'm sure that the players will be acutely aware of that so if we lose on wednesday night, it will test our resolve for next sunday.
2-1 defeat is my prediction but I wont leave here if I am wrong
I want to see Bendtner start.
The Everton draw was no disaster, but I hoped for seven points from the three games vs Everton, Man City and Chelsea, because I think that would be title winning form.
I think we need Giroud full of energy for the Man City game, so have him on the bench.
Also like to see Flamini paired with Arteta (am ok with that in Europe, though prefer Flamini - Ramsey pairing domestically), start Rosicky, Walcott and Wilshere.
Give Ramsey, Ozil and Cazorla a deserved rest.

Agree with everything in this post. Saves my thumbs for more important things

Vadge? Is this new yoof street slang?
You didnt see American Pie The Reunion ?? Brilliant movie
Is "vadge" used in that? Didn't see it. In Dubling (for our Ingerlish viewers) it is common usage for vagina. As is gash. And Furburger.
Stiffler told jim's dad that he needed to get some vadge - poor old Jim's dad hadn't a clue what vadge was and asked stiffler if vadge was "half a vagina"

personally, i'd start walcott up front, bendtner on the bench and leave giroud at home.
they're at home and need to score goals so there should be plenty of room behind for him to run in to, and he needs the minutes on the pitch for fitness and sharpness.
so long as we don't do anything incredibly stupid at the back it won't matter if he's still a bit too rusty to make much happen, and it'll make him 70 game-minutes more likely to be useful against city in the latter stages
